Could very easily argue Cooks was a much more sure thing than any offensive skill position player in this entire draft.

McCaffrey seems like quite a reach at 18. But I think I could live with it.

Getting much out of any rookie is really sort of rare....how would you feel if he caught 40 balls, and scored 5-7 td's?

So let's say he's the pick- okay fine. What's his role day 1?

And who's snaps is he cutting into?

What I mean is we could have traded that pick for Brandin Cooks

**** yes. Drafting him on our 2nd pick in the 1st round should be more than worth. He has skills to play as WR and he is a play-maker who will fit on our offense making it more unpredictable and electric. We will have 3 exellent guys at the rb position, 3 of them with good hands and legs... i cant wait to see them playing.

And if that wasnt enough, he fits VERY good as a returner...

Picking him before picking anyone of the rest "pure-WR" in the draft is a MUST.

Day 1 I'd say he takes very little snaps at rb. Probably 60 to murray, 30 to henry and 10 to McCaffrey: so he's taking a few from both of those guys. He'll take all of the pr and kr snaps: so mariani. Lastly he'll play wr 3/4, so he'll be taking from mathews, sharpe and douglas. Idt he'd be used a ton during his first season, but he would contribute in 4 facets of the game. But, when murray is done, that's when we'll see his production shoot up.

WR3 and 4 doesn't take snaps from Matthews. Or even Tajae in our current depth. More like TE2/FB or Douglas. But we don't use the slot guy much at all. First round returner year one is what I just read.

Can't really pretend to know. But I'd imagine if we did indeed draft him that high they'd have a clear role already in mind for him. Even adjust the offense for him.

Like I said, I do think 18 is a bit too high for him. Particularly given our other more pressing needs. He helps the passing game but we still have no WR1.
