Swept by the Colts and lost to the Jags which would of put this team in the playoffs.

This front office, staff and roster will get respect from me when they stop ****ting on themselves.

So let's ignore the fact that they completely over achieved this year and beat several good to very good teams, and exceeded even the most optimistic win projection by at least 2 or 3 games. The team was coming off 2 atrocious seasons, let's not even pretend that they should have been held to the standard of a playoff team last year.

Forgot this franchise is so garbage fans accept mediocrity, no matter the circumstance.

The Colts made the playoffs after going 2-14, so why can't this team?

AFC south was for the taking. Remember midway through the year even almost everyone is the media was picking the Titans as favorites to win the division.

Especially in a division where Luck was hurt all year and sat out games, on a team that has no o-line and a bad defense.

One team that has atrocious QB play, and another team that is picking top 5 in the draft...again.

I'm over moral victories or looking forward to the next season after this team fails to make the playoffs. That's been going on for almost an entire decade.

Were the Colts coming off of two consecutive miserable seasons? No, they weren't. They weren't even trying to win with Luck on the board the following year, and they were a perennial playoff team each year before that.

Expecting a team like Tennessee who has lacked talent for nearly a decade and been at the bottom of the barrel to immediately become a playoff team is unrealistic. If they blow things in a similar manner this year, I could understand your frustration, but they are clearly headed in the right direction

So was Munchak when he went 9-7 his first year and barely missed out on the playoffs. Then regressed the next year and was just flat out mediocre/bad during his HC tenure. The narrative was this team had the talent but had bad coaching.

Then Whiz comes in to pinch his loaf on this franchise and it's because "the talent doesn't fit/buy into his system." And all the blame was then put on Ruston for not being able to properly evaluate talent.

Now the narrative just completely changed to this team has had no talent for a decade?

This team had 5 (should of been 6, but Mariota was injured) pro bowlers this season & guess what? All of them but one were already on this roster before Robinson took over. Not to mention Zach Brown made the Pro Bowl this year also. So obviously he had talent. (Talking talent, not attitude right now.)

So I don't fully buy the "no talent" narrative. Ruston sucked but Whiz sucked worse. This team had the talent to win this cluster**** division this year and I'm sure some people on here agree they would of faired much better in post season than the Texans but the Titans choked when it mattered most. Over half of this board and the media mid-season all thought the Titans were the favorite to win the AFC South, so no it's not unrealistic expectations.

You know what being in the right direction looks like? Being consistent & winning the games you're expected to win.

We'd of done exactly the same at best. Id of given us 50-50 against the Raiders with Cassell leading us and the Pats would have stomped us badly.

The previous regimes did get some very good pieces, but then areas like the offensive line, RB, WR, and secondary were among the worst in the league. There were holes all over the roster, and absolutely no depth.

And you're not giving enough credit to the Texans, who had one of the league's best defenses and some explosive talent on offense, nor the Jags, who had the same. It's not like they are the Browns.

This is a fun topic to discuss, honestly. I believe coaching plays more of a role than scouting.

I think Whiz had lots of tools at his disposal, and he did ABSOLUTELY nothing to develop them. We can talk about the OL and WRs right off the bat. You bring in a Pro-Bowler like LeVitre, who turned into crap here, then went to Atlanta and played very well again. We had the Turnstyle at RT, then Whiz decided to put a heavy footed rookie Guard(Poutasi) all alone on an island with no help. Who didn't see his confidence getting obliterated? What's to say we wouldn't have had a much more up and down year from Conklin if he was left 1v1 on every play? Just saying.

Wright, was fantastic as a rookie and 2nd yr, then bam, Whiz! Justin Hunter regressed as well. We never managed to develop our youth, Whiz literally just through them out there to get their confidence crushed and left Mularkey or whomever to pick up the shattered glass.

this why i say FOCK Whiz!

I guess i'm mistaken. But when we signed him he was considered the best FA OL available for $40+mil.
