30th ranked Passing Defense in the NFL. Meaning there were TWO Teams worse than us in Pass Coverage.......THAT'S about as bad as it gets.

This is a deep draft for DBs. However, most of the prospects have injury concerns. Not to mention the fact that LeBeau & Mularkey have already stated they do not want to count on rookie starters at DB.

TE is not our other area of need......WR is a far bigger need for us. We need to address TE at some point very soon, but if we do not take one early this year we will be just fine.

Although it is a good draft for TEs and right now Supernaw is our #2 TE....... Not a perfect scenario; but not a reason to ignore the bigger need at DB & WR.

Ryan is a #2 cb at best. So yeah, I stick by my "very little" comment.

Two 1st round picks is great and all. But more than likely at least one of them is going to bust, or fail to live up to expectations, anyway. So no, I don't see us fixing our issues in the draft.

It is what it is. I just wish we had done more in FA. This division is anyone's for the taking and we largely ignored our two biggest deficiencies from last season.

Sorry I don't think Ryan was a top 3 FA corner in free agency. Yes, he will indeed help but him alone is not enough. We had the worse secondary, are we going to draft 3 CBs to start? I'm really disappointed we didn't sign a FA wide receiver. KW is gone and Harry is likely done or cut.

Not to mention our hole at ILB. Williamson is not the answer. I'd love Rueben Foster since he's a clear upgrade, but would've rather been able to hit value over need if we were real about Hightower.

I guess I'm just more optimistic than most. Robinson seems to be following what worked in NE- a lot of mid-level, non-sexy free agents who fit the schemes, and building through the draft. I admit, I'd love to see a #1 WR and CB already on the roster, but his plan will take some patience. I think he's earned that from us fans, given the amount of improvement and hope his regime has provided.

Bottom line, is regardless of anything. If Mariota is great, we will make the playoffs. If he sucks we wont.

Its year 3, time for him to take that step to the next level

Only issue with your thought is NE already had or has a wealth of talent on their team and they have top coaches. We really don't have much if you think about it, maybe we have 8 players other teams would trade for? Plus our coaches are eeehhh. We have money to spend but Jrob didn't do much in opening the wallet to get some true game changers.

I faith in MM8, he will lead us, we were garbage to eatch before he came here.
