He did mention Campbell and Bouye and didn't mention us signing Ryan.

But, those teams beat us 2 of 3 times(last game didn't matter for anyone) with said crappy QBs, and the Jags added better defenders and Tom Coughlin. The Texans did lose Bouye and some depth players, but getting out from the Osweiler contract was a huge win in my opinion. So they could be considered a loser, I can see that.

Not to mention the fact we still can't seem to beat the Colts, no matter how crappy they are, and I think they've made some solid moves this offseason, they will continue to own us.

Adding 3 starters on D is surely an upgrade (NT, SS, and CB). Then 3 top-tier ST players to boot. And even the b/u O'lineman was an upgrade. FAs are hard to judge until we see them as Titans, the draft is where we need to nail it...

Except NT and SS aren't upgrades.

I think we left a lot to be addressed with this draft. I think it is possible. I do think that JRob will need to hit a home run in this draft though. If we take a player that ends up injured (Which is an obvious question in this draft) we could be looking at another season of mediocre play at a position of need. It's a gamble.

I get the idea of not throwing money at big names and building through the draft. However, with our needs we need to hit in the draft. The talent in this draft matches up well to our needs. If JRob drafts well we will be in good shape. If we do not draft players who can contribute as starters at our positions of need; we will be in trouble IMO.

This draft is going to be a big test for JRob. If it goes well he will come out looking very good. Saving money while still addressing our biggest needs.

Cyprien posted the best run-defense grade ever recorded by PFF, and had an overall grade basically the equivalent of Eric Berry. Until anyone on our defense is the best at anything, there is always room for improvement.

Best ever. Had no interest in free agency.

    Makes sense.

What was his pass defense grade?

Run defense wasn't our problem last year. Sure an upgrade is an upgrade. But my problem with this FA was that our biggest weaknesses, by far, are pass defense and our WR group. We did very little to rectify the former and absolutely nothing to rectify the latter. It's dumb, borderline insane, to think we are going to fix both of those issues with rookies.

Signing one of the top FA CBs was "doing very little"? Your expectations are far too high. And I don't see how it's "borderline insane" to help two positions of weakness when they have 2 first round picks in one of the deepest drafts ever at CB and TE. Every single team in the league has areas of weakness, and TN's really aren't that bad (their CB group is better than GB's, and they don't have 2 of the first 18 picks in the draft).
