Chris Johnson was slow. He wasn't taken in the top 10.

Again, this is ALL position specific. Bust rates vary depending on the target position.

More perspective about pass rushers. This is why you see so many teams swinging for them early. It's also clearly about athletics for this group.

And statistics agree with that. The number of top 5 picks who turn into good players is pretty high.

Talent is everywhere don't get me wrong. But on the defensive side of the field Talent + Speed prospects with low risk are usually top 10.

nope. get the talent now. this team is close to being a contender. we will never be younger than we are right now. DON'T KICK THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD. there will be an elite defensive player at 5. do not pass him up.

but at the same time there could be elite players at 20

    Chandler Jones was picked 21st
    Donta Hightower 25th
    Harrison Smith 29th

more high picks should net more overall talent

which I would think is a good thing....

i don't consider them "elite" players personally. i think hightower is a really good player, but i also think foster's ceiling is WAY higher.

there is the potential for us to have a shot at allen, foster or possibly even garrett in some bizarro universe and i think their production would be much greater.

we got really psyched about having 3 2nd rounders last year and henry appears to be the only sure thing out of those 3

if both are available would you take allen or foster? obviously foster is a bigger area of need, but allen is terrifying. he can do everything on the defensive line at an elite level
