Would you trade pick #5 back to #20 for two 2nds?

Supposing we could find trade partners, and per the standard draft trade chart, we could hypothetically trade back twice in the 1st round with pick #5 and gain two 2nd round picks in the process. Something like picks #33 & #52. My question is, would you take that deal?

I'm thinking at #18 & #20, we'd still be able to land one of the top offensive weapons (Davis,Williams, Ross, Howard or Njoku) and still get a top CB.

Then we could get two more playmakers in the second.

While it's not easy to find partners for such a scenario, if we could, would you trade outside of the "elite" realm?

If we trade five, the deal better include a first round pick next year.

I have actually done that quite a few times using the "first pick" site to see what happens. It is pretty amazing what we could get in our first 4 or 5 picks in that scenario. Probably 4 or 5 starters in high need areas with all of them having future star potential. Depending on how the first 10 picks go down, there seems to always be one or two of the top guys (guys that would be an ok pick for our needs at 5) that fall into that range. One time I got Lattimore, Ross, Engram, Feeney, and Moreau with my top 5. Other times I got Njoku and Adoree Jackson in the 2nd and Davis in the first. The problem is you don't know which ones will fall. I guess it depends on how well we do in FA. If (and only if) JRob sees that he is really ok with any of a long list of players in all of those draft spots, I would say yes, the risk is worth it because you get 4 really good players instead of 2 or 3. Plus you also have a ton of late picks left to package and move up from the comp pick in the 3rd to get a 6th potential starter that falls in the 3rd.

High pick doesn't equate to that, though... Warmack, Locker and Young say hello.

Not assuming. You were the one making the assumption that a high pick means an elite player.

I do think we should trade back, but not for the pittance you have suggested.
