You wouldn't keep Woods for depth? His cap hit is $3.68M and we can afford that right now.

We can but I find it unnecessary. Woods is the epitome of average our DE's carried him. With Hankins he is expendable as Johnson and Blackson can move inside.

My first mock off season this year. I've been trying to resist but it's too much fun to speculate.

    Re-sign:
    1. Sean Spence, ILB/SP: Solid reserve linebacker and has experience in the systems
    2. Matt Cassel, QB: "Capable" back-up who knows the system
    3. Karl Klug, DL: Needs No explanations
    4. Bryon Bell, OL: Good back-up swing tackle/guard

    Cut:
    1. Harry Douglas, WR: No Explanation needed
    2. Al Woods

    Restructure:
    1. Jason McCourty, CB: Only good/experienced CB on the roster currently but play hasn't lived up to his cap value

FA: I am going to try to be realistic in my FA predictions
    1. Johnathan Hankins, NT: Played out of position last year for the Giants and should be able to step in and be our 'Casey Hampton'
    2. Mychal Rivera, TE: Very underrated TE free agent. Played well for the Raiders when called upon, can block, is only 26 and went to Tennessee.
    3. Jarvis Jones, OLB: Good depth at the OLB position and knows Dick's system
    4. Logan Ryan, CB: Exactly the type of player JR loves (probably why he drafted him while with the Pats). Can match up against all the big receivers in the AFC South (Robinson/Hopkins).

Draft: (I am going to predict a trade, so if you don't like that then stop reading now)

1.5: Trade back to between picks 8-12 (pick up a 2nd round pick in the process) - I'm not going to predict the specifics of the trade because I have to draw the line somewhere right?

1.8-12?- Jamal Adams, S: I really believe Adams has top 5 talent but based on his position I think he slips beyond the top 5 picks. If he was drafted #5, he would instantly become a top 6 paid SS in the NFL. I think there are a lot of GM's out there that having this wouldn't sit well.

1.18: Corey Davis, WR: Need to give Mariota that true #1 target.

2.?: Zach Cunningham, LB: Finally a LB who can cover TEs & RBs. The combo of him and Williamson could be great for a long time.

3.69: Cameron Sutton, CB: Give him a chance to battle for a starting spot & let him help as a return man until he's ready

3.83: Jordan Leggett, TE: Eventual replacement for Walker

I like where your head is at. Totally on board with Hankins, Ryan, and Jones.
Love every pick in your draft.
The only change I would make is to replace either Rivera or Leggett with another WR. Say, replace Rivera with Robert Woods, or more preferably, draft Cooper Kupp at the Sutton spot and hope Sutton falls to the later rd 3 pick.

I agree. Looking back doubling up in TE is probably unnecessary and adding another option at receiver would be better.

It all depends on the tes you pick up. A lot of tes now can line up as recievers as well, so it doesn't really matter as long as the tes are good receivers as well. Looking at this draft njoku and howard would be great fits for us and can almost fill 2 holes.

I love Engram but have been assuming he's not a good fit for us bc he doesn't do much run blocking. Am I wrong?

I don't think you're wrong about the blocking, but even with that I still think that he has a ton of value to us as a receiving TE/WR who creates mismatches (especially if we line him up with somebody like John Ross). Plus we can always get another TE like Gerald Everett or a FA that can do both for situations where we need that. It will be interesting to see what the Titans staff thinks.
