What did everyone think of Nate Washington before he came to Tennessee?

I think this is a very similar player. Questionable hands, some speed for a deep ball but ability to run slot routes, likely pretty cheap for a minimum of depth in an fairly week WR corp. The injury is my only hesitation on bothering.

 

Plus, I believe he's looking into options to get back to Philly.

 

I never liked Washington but he did have some big games from time to time

 

As average as he was, he did fill the role of "star" WR in Tennessee for a couple years. I think that's more of a testament to how bad our WR game has been than a compliment to Washington.

 

Wheaton never seemed to live up to the hype of taking that next step. Even with the opportunity of Bryant being out he never did much.
Not sure if he's someone to get too excited about.

 

Entire family and wife are Steelers fans. I know the struggle.

 

Wheaton was a beast in college, I'd take a chance on him, young guy with good speed. Sometimes a change of scenery will wake a guy up. Take Rishard for example, stepped up and exceeded my expectations here. He was just a 3rd or 4th wideout in Miami.

 

He had a breakout as their #2 his FA year. He passed people up in camp who had the inside track to the role.
