Just checked: holy pinky, blinky, inky and clyde! It's been over a decade since we drafted a CB in the top 2 rounds with the last being Pacman Jones. BWW was highest since then, taken in the 3rd. Yup, definitely time for us to invest in the CB position.

That being said, I certainly wouldn't change anything from last years draft. We created an identity that helped give Marcus time, opened up the play action, and - more importantly - kept our defense off the field. For Time of Possession we went from 29th and 24th in 2014 and 2015 respectively, all the way up to 13th in the league in 2016. The investment in the OL and run game was the right call.

we've gone over this many times now, but DLB wont be here much longer

    and we're not the Steelers

we dont have those LB's & Polumalu they did to be able to have sleep on CB's.

leagues also changed a bit since the early 2000's, CB's are more important now than ever

I think we can all agree our defense has been horse **** since 2013 when we last had 2 competent CB's.

    Dear Titans,
    GET CB's!!!!!!!!!

There is no explanation needed for why a CB makes sense in the 1st round lol.

Doesn't matter. DLB has never been a GM, and he isn't ours. He might write down his wish list of players and positions, but he's there to coach the players he has and work with the GM to tell him what he's looking for in a player.

JRob's job is to get the personnel he thinks we most need to win, and I don't think teams he's been a part of have been shy about getting secondary help.

It's a testament to how bad the roster actually had gotten under Webster; that we can agree Robinson made good decisions last year, and CB is STILL a major need. There was no way to fill all the roster holes we had in one offseason. I do think this is the year that we get our wish. It is a class loaded with DB talent & still a huge need for the team.

If we do not come out of this draft with at least 1 starter in the secondary; I would be disappointed. Regardless of who we pick up in FA; this class offers a great selection of secondary starters who upgrade our secondary day 1! It is a year we cannot afford not to invest at the position IMO.
