I don't disagree, but with byard we already have a FS. If they could play together I'd prefer Hooker as a talent.

 

Adams is a better fit and the better talent IMO

 

What makes him the better talent? Better fit, yes. Hooker has been compared to Ed Reed by evaluators. Hard to beat that.

 

Agreed. Hoover flashes and looks great on highlights, but is also a one year wonder and mainly projection at this point . Adams looks like a day 1 productive NFL safety.

 

Hooker will be a productive starter from day 1. He's a one year wonder because he played behind 2 NFL safeties. Youd be lucky to find a safety in the NFL with his range.

 

Hooker has elite ball skills and range but Adams is the total package man. Smart player, reads the game well and just makes plays all over the field

 

I have Adams as my #3. Hooker as my #5. I love both. Adams reads the game and has the closing speed to break accordingly. So good in run support and around the LOS period. Excellent instincts. Terrific open field tackler. Even played a little nickel CB.

 

Comparing HOF caliber NFL players to those with one year of college production is a bit too ambitious for my taste.

FWIW, his pro comparison at NFL.com is Reggie Nelson, while Adams' is Darren Woodson. I sure wouldn't be upset with a non-rapist Woodson on the team.

 

Isn't Sharper the rapist? Not Woodson.
