Exactly!!! And it exposes what players can and can't do well. If you can't cover small fast rb's out of the backfield, that's ok if youre a big run thumper who comes out on 3rd down and is never asked to do that. If you need your lb to be a big player in pass coverage both v man and the mlb in a tamp 2 who's gotta get back and cover the deep middle...

    You know how it goes!

You are right about Juniors but up until this year, it was only 4th year juniors who graduated. Apparently Watson would have become the first true junior to be eligible since he already graduated (in 2 1/2 years) but it doesn't look like he's going to be playing. Too bad. He could have not only talking about how impressive it is he graduated so quickly while excelling on the football field, but the Browns would be coaching him...who have the first pick!!!

Then again, leaving people with his National Championship game the last two years is pretty impressive game tape!!!

True, his game film is impressive, but his problem is he's even not a lock as a first round pick. I know he has a lot of people in his ear giving him advice, and there are certainly ways he could hurt his stock there, but I believe he's one of those players that could really help himself at the Senior Bowl.

Spending quality time with coaches, showing them his effort on and off the field in practice can go miles towards selling them. The combine, private workouts, and pro-day's just don't let you win coaches over the way a week of real practice can.

His teammate Boulware apparently asked Phil Savage a year ago to be invited to the Senior Bowl, and that it had been his dream since he started playing to play in the game. This year during the prep for the championship game, Savage texted him that he was going to invite him. Within an hour he texted back how excited he was, and Dabo told Savage that the entire were all really pumped for him. That shows me how much that guy wants to work. And after the way he played in that National Title game, I'd love to have that guy on our team!!

Right now I feel Lattimore is rising close to top ten status, barring a crappy combine of course.

EXACTLY!!! Would love to get him in the middle rounds to be a back ILB and special teams guy. He IS what JRob wants in our players!!!

And I totally agree on Watson. I don't know how you wouldn't want to LOCK yourself in as the best QB and a top 5 pick if not #1. With the Browns having the first pick, it's a bit crazy he's not going to play there! It's the best job interview he can have for all the coaches and scouts. And it just takes one to fall in love with you or get a buzz going. And if he can finish college in 2 1/2 years while being the starting QB for Clemson, I'm guessing he can learn a playbook fairly quickly. Add in the simplified defensive schemes and the quality wr's and TE's playing and fear of failure (or getting hurt) is the only thing stopping you.

But you are gonna face those demons every sunday!!! Might as well play and put any 'concerns' to rest!

Plus, he's played in the same simplistic offense since HS. Would be nice to show how fast he can pick up NFL coaching.

I'll be shocked if Watson doesn't go top 10. I expect at least 2 QB's to go top 10. I don't think we'll see the 3 QB prospects fall to the bottom half of the 1st round. Too much demand and too few a supply.

Absolutely love this kid. Kid breathes football, I've posted about him before on here. Hope to see him in two-tone blue next year.

Sometimes i think we over analyze some of these prospects.

Boulware is mighty slow, he won't be mid round, he's a late round guy. Could get looks in the late 5th. Outside his tenacity I don't really see much fit for the defense. He isn't a Coverage LBer to fill any sort of need either.

Big difference between 40 speed and game speed. His football instincts are off the charts and that will more than make up for his limited athletic ability.

It does, he's still going to be a late round guy. Not saying he's a bust or worthless, but value will be late in the draft. Over drafting a limited athlete for ILB when we already have two of those... just doesn't seem like sound advice.

Considering he's actually pretty good in pass coverage, he's worth a late round pick. The more concerning is the miss tackles, which could be attributed to his over aggressiveness.
