Expectations next 2 weeks

When we dominate time of possession we wouldn't have to see those awful CB's on the field as much. Dick Lebeau doesn't do our DB's any favors either btw we lead the league in blitzing which leaves our DB's having to go 1 v 1 more than anyone else which I also believe is just bad coaching, it's the coaches responsibility to know what your players are capable and not capable of doing and them going 1v1 is not one of their capabilities.

 

Looking forward to these next couple of games. It will show whether we are meant to be in the playoffs and it will also expose what we really need to focus on in the off season. I will say this though...if our WRs continue to have success that will not be a position we need to address early in the draft.

Our corners should relish the opportunity to go head to head more often than covering a specific area of the field. Especially with a front 7 making the qb get rid of the ball quickly.

 

I think we match up well with Denver and could win that game. My biggest concern (aside from our secondary being destroyed) is the team itself coming out flat after the bye. Too many slow starts this season anyway, but after the entire week off, that is my biggest concern.

I don't see any way Tennessee wins in KC. They're playing good on both sides of the ball and Arrowhead is one of the hardest road stadiums in the league.

I think 1-1 is realistic, but we will probably know after the first qtr in Denver if we're throwing in the towel.

 

If I was the D.C. The only time I would ever leave our DB's in one on one man coverage situations is when the other team is protecting a lead and is trying to run out the clock thus making it obvious their running the ball. We blitz waaaayyyyy toooo muuuch!!

 

But our defense has been criticized in the past for not being aggressive enough. Bottom line we need bigger faster corners that specialize in man coverage.

 

I'm not expecting much out of the next 2. I'd be thrilled to go 1-1. I still say we finish the year 8-8 at best.

 

We passed on Jalen Ramsey though who would have fit our scheme perfectly but Conklin is sooo much better because PFF says so.

 

Robinson absolutely had to protect Mariota, he didn't have much of a choice but to get a OL. I'm curious to know what he would do if he had free reign. I'm thinking it would be the same result.

 

Is it impossible to find an O-Lineman outside of the first round? Seahawks just converted an undrafted free agent who's barely played any football in his life to a starting left tackle and last I checked their kinda good.
