This is hardly being part of the crew that made the decision to draft JW.

In his role at Tampa Bay, prior to joining the Titans, Robinson oversaw all areas of the scouting department, both college and pro, in addition to free agency preparation, evaluating players in the NFL and other professional leagues. He also assisted with college scouting and preparation for the NFL Draft.

Don't care how bad cox was? He was graded out as the worst DB in football. You don't keep that kind of production on the roster when they are hitting 30 years of age. Our backups atleast have upside (Reed/Sims)

The proof that it was our plan is that we did actually draft a RB. If we had no plan of drafting a RB then we wouldn't have.

JRob knew that was a scrape heap of RBs that you listed and he was right.

We took the best available talent on the board at the time. I am sure there is not one other RB they would have taken other than Henry with that pick. You just can't let someone like that go when he falls into your lap. We probably gave up a DB to get him, but that's fine with me. In the 5th, Sharpe had a huge upside compared to any DB at that round, so we (fortunately) took him too.

Everything about JROB's job status at Tampa says he was an integral part of drafting Jameis Winston. When you're running the scouting department you are a huge factor in who gets drafted. Although he didn't have the final say so in it I'm willing to bet he was definitely on board with thinking Winston was the better pick, which he definitely was not. DGB showed flashes of greatness just like Mariota did last year, he "mossed" Two of the league's premier corners in Joe Haden and Vontae Davis. As young as DGB is (23) with his size (6'5") and speed and with which round we drafted him (2nd round) it was WAY too early to trade him away for a backup Tackle who I've seen look absolutely horrible on plays this year. You just don't do that when you have a receiving core that's as unproven as ours and to write off a kid like DGB this early in his career is to say you have absolutely zero confidence in your coaching staff's ability to coach him up to be a good or great player.

Cox was a starter! He was on the field while Blake, McCain, and Sims watched on the sideline!

So, if Cox actually is the worst corner in the league, why not speak with your coaching staff about why he is starting?

He lost some snaps, but was still a bona fide starting CB2 vs the Bears. Why? Does Jrob think his coaching staff is too inept to see our better options?

Or, Cox is actually the second best corner on our team. In which case,it makes no sense to cut him, no matter how bad he plays.

Those are the only two possible scenarios. Neither make any sense, everything about this screams frustration cut. I'd rather my GM not make irrational emotional decisions.

Not that this move is monumental, because it isn't that big of a deal, just saying.

JRob had 0 faith DGB would ever "get it." And that had 0 to do with His coaching staff.
