Just saying I don't see that much max protect in the NFL. Seen a ton of it against us lately

The NFL is just one big club. Everyone knows everyone else. Doesn't take long for teams to figure out how to beat you. VY was really doing damage until someone from the Jags figured out to play zone against him so their backs were never turned. Stopped him dead and they got 3 picks that game, and this was his first year. MM is predictable to a point, but that run game we have screws up DC's. Safeties can't be in two places at once.

Isn't every QB predictabe, they're either going to hand it off to a RB or drop back pass or run, right? You're only one of 5 on here who constantly try to knit pick and marginalize him as a QB, yet he's racking up great stats, is on a hot streak and racking up awards. I don't understand your hate.

You claim he doesn't look off defenders but film tells us otherwise. If he is predictabe and the defense knows what he's doing and can't stop him, that just means he is just a pure baller. Franchise QB!

The list of negatives ghosty finds is getting shorter and shorter OH NO!!! now he's magically predictable lol. Predictable QBs throw a lot of picks. Ask any defensive coordinator just how predictable mariota is and get back to me.

Oh yeah, he stares down his WRs all game long!!! Talking like MM8 is Bortles or something? Zero, Zero, Zero, I said Zero interceptions in the Redzone! Yet, GG says he is no good and predictable, doesn't look off safety. MM8 is the Franchise QB - Franchise!

Well in a way he is right, mariota is predictable... for 2 or more touchdowns 250+ yards and no picks.

He is is predicted to break every franchise passing record in his first full season. Not bad. Tough time to be a Mariota hater. He is darling of the nfl right now and rightfully so. I swear some people on here would rather us play Tanney or Mett

Show me a post where I said all game long. Amazing you want to suck up to these kids on here with embellished posts that were no where close to what I was actually saying, but if makes you feel like "one of the boys" then stay on the bandwagon. Just proves you are weak and insecure. I actually started a thread about how good he was in the Red Zone, so that crap doesn't work. But you know, a nutswinger never lets facts get in the way of a good rip on someone. If you bothered to actually do any research you would know he is predictable in that 80% of his passes are outside the numbers. Probably by design to keep the INT's low until he is more comfortable reading defenses. This doesn't make him a bad QB, just one that is limited, so DC's should be able to scheme somewhat. The saving grace is that we have a running game, which helps loosen up the secondary. Almost 75% of his completions are under 10 yards. We have played some really bad teams. Let's see how he plays against Denver and KC. That should be an indication if he can get to the top tier.

Even if he doesn't play great against Denver and KC does not mean that he can't get to the top tier . The kid is in his 2nd yr and has made tremendous progress. Sure he has made some horrible turnovers, but that is what young QBs do.

You act like Mariota is dinking and dunking with your stat of 75% completions less than 10 yds, but the fact is he has 46 passes over 20 yds and Matt Ryan leds the league with only 49 passes over 20 yds. And Mariota isn't getting a bunch of YAC from his WRs to inflate those stats.
