Dodds ceiling is a very poor man's Derrick Morgan.

Doubt he even reaches that.

It's fine though. In 2-3 years he will be what he is now. Depth.

 

And hopefully moronic Titans "fans" like yourself will be replaced by people who actually understand football and the term "patience". Morgan had 4 sacks in his first 2 years combined, and was a starter for most of the 2nd season. How is Dodd doomed, exactly?

 

Hes not quit a Morgan, hes bigger and has room to grow. Robinson even said he could eventually become a DE if thats something they wanted him to do.

 

From what I understand, he could have had this from years ago and never realized it. Could be a long healing process. I wasn't happy with the pick (because Henry was still on the board - can't believe we got him) and for the reasons you have stated. I watched the Bama game several times and he's a one trick pony. He doesn't overpower anyone, and just has an outside speed rush, or moves to the middle. I have to believe if we wanted a DE there were better choices available. People get caught up in the hype of a playoff team sometimes.

 

Lebeau said Dodd has made the transition to OLB quicker & better than anyone else he has EVER coached. I'll take his word for the future projection of Dodd.

So is Henry and Sharpe. They were taken after he was. I will be amazed if he ever turns out to be what they think he is.

 

So our former 1st rounder is average at best and our recent 2nd rounder has hardly played but could turn into a good depth player? Great drafting!
Other teams find starters in the mid rounds we find depth in early rounds. Lol
