That's a false argument which comes from... where was it again you heard this? Has he done anything to show he isn't mature? Inexperienced YES, 18 games. Needs to grow up? Unlikely.

 

Because all their routes are safety routes, where they come back for the ball. If they aren't open MM tosses it away. But the TE and RB do skew the numbers I think. His average pass to a receiver is around 12 yards and to the backs about 5, so 7 is about right for an average. The fact he hit two bombs also helped. He hasn't played enough for the numbers to average out yet. Let's wait and see.

 

I never knew inexperience made you lazy.....I always felt that was a maturity problem. Think what you like. You love him, so no matter what I say it doesn't matter. You just want to argue.

 

Agreed. Missed Eli in that list. I just wanted to point out some of the differences between most of the guys you listed and how overall accuracy has increased since that rule. We're on the same side of this argument, people are over exaggerating how poorly MM has played and more so on the need to change QB.

 

Being lazy with footwork, is not the same thing as overall laziness. I certainly don't think he's a lazy football player which is what you're trying to attribute to a "maturity" problem.

 

No offense but I could say the very same thing to those posting to get rid of him after 18 games... it's not a 1 way street. Gonna take more time to figure this out folks. We KNEW there would be a learning curve because of the system... er systems he's had to learn 2 in 2 years now, I'm sure that isn't helping matters. Can't wait til we finally (if) have a wr who can stretch the field consistently and stay on the field consistently.

 

Bro, I'd take a qb that averages 1 turnover a game any time. The best qbs in the league average that. Knock it off.

 

Where you been hiding?

 

I've mostly been just lurking the past year or two. Went to the Mariota's first game ever in Tampa last Year, other than that just staying low key reading everything and trying to keep my opinions to myself lol. All the Mariota hate really bugged me last year so I decided I didn't want to get involved in all the negativity. Nice to know someone remembers me though, hope all is well man.

 

I think most of us here are not Mariota haters. Good time to come back though, this is the most enjoyable season since 2011.
