Riverman makes a lot of sense in what he says. The only two positives that we have are Robinson and Grimm. Everyone tells me how great LeBeau is , where was he yesterday when Hilton and a third rate TE were running the show all afternoon ? Grimm only gets the pass because by accident Fat Chance went down and we picked up Kline who isn't bad and now the OL is pretty serviceable.

Patience is a song I've heard around this franchise for most of the 35 years that I've been around except for the McNair/George almost "golden" era by todays sorry standards.

I always make the point that were this franchise in a larger conurbation with a hungry press corps then not half of the shizz that the fan-base are being sold wouldn't take place.

The presser tonight will be the same old "we are getting close"

No mister , we are bloody well nowhere near close for all the reasons that the erudite posters above have pointed out.

I want Robinson to do the presser tonight. He took the job with Mularkey in tow and so consequently kind of "signed up to" the coaching staff. You couldn't get away from his face when he got here , he needs to stand up tonight and give people hope , even if it is shallow hope.

At the moment we are miles away from anything with two Heissman winners and an All-Pro running back in the 53. What gives ? The product is so bad that every home game is like an away game. What gives ??

Then , the Nashville press will tickle Mularkey's belly again and it will all be glossed over for a few days because they have so few balls amongst them.

This franchise is an embarrassment to the fan-base that it serves and we deserve better.

Here is my question to you, and im not being facetious , or trying to troll you. Honest question--what exactly constitutes "talent". Like He playing bad now. but in time he will be great because he is talented.

In what regards is Mariota "talented" exactly? Is it throwing the football? Is he talented at throwing passes? I personally do not think so. So if he isnt talented at throwing passes, what is he talented at? I mean, he is the QB. He seems more talented at being perceived as talented than he is actually talented.

I look at some of these rookie QB's around the league, and I see talent. Not saying guys like Dak Prescott wont have D's figure him out a second time around, and he will have bumps and bruises, but I see guys making throws. When Mariota drops back to pass, Its uncomfortable for everyone. Mariota, Wide receivers, fans. Id imaging coaches must be uncomfortable.

It seems we are heading into VY territory once again, where half the fanbase can see reality, and the rest are on the hype train come hell or high water. Going to be a rough few years here expecting Mariota to turn into a franchise qb.

Nashville is one of the most laid-back football cities in America.

How do you think fans at most other cities would react to the product we have been given the past many seasons?

If you are acting like the Titans are being unfairly criticized, well you are just fooling yourself.

OL been decent for the majority of the games, but yesterday they looked worse than at any point last season. Mariota hurried and sacked all day.

My biggest issue is how conservation this team is. I don't want to hear all the gimmick plays we run like Lewan's touchdown, or running college option plays.

    1. More balls downfield one a game isn't going to scare anyone
    2. Take a chance and go for the onside kick and catch a team off guard like the colts did to us.
    3. Go for 2 when we score quickly on our opening drive (constantly done by Tomlin) especially with how effecient Mariota is in the redzone

    These are just some examples.

Yesterday was disappointing but season overall , now that Fatty has gone , its better. From yesterday , how Mathis can break through a Double-Team ( Jones and Schwenke ? ) at the age of 108 told the truth about yesterday. Oh , our LT gets more looks than KW seemingly these days ; there's another improvement (irony).

Criticism is one thing, when it's honest criticism. Take a peek at most of these threads. Hint: it's mostly about blaming Marcus without realizing there are 10 other players on the field with him, 11 when he's not on the field... it's funny how the people who hate Mariota simply fade into the background when he's playing well and only show up for the losses... most of us knew he was going to have a steep learning curve when he was drafted, those who didn't weren't being honest to begin with. The same goes for the criticism.

I just see Mariota making mistakes that a lot of young QB's make. If you look at QB's like McNair and Manning, they also struggled early in their careers. I think with more experience and playing time Mariota will be a very good QB. There are exceptions like Dak, but Dallas has a great OL and WR's, not to mention their defense is pretty darned good. There is no way I'm ready to say that Mariota is not a good QB.

I will admit, I didn't think it was a good idea to use a number 2 pick on someone with a "steep" learning curve. I am now afraid that at the very best, Mariota will be Alex Smith. I am not sure how happy that should make anyone.
