You can always tell when Marcus is lacking confidence, he is like a wild deer that is in a box. When he is confident, he looks for something and feels the pocket closing and takes off. Today he refused to do it and one time ran into his own O-line, and another he just dropped the ball trying to hand it off. Having an endzone view, it was only a matter of time until the Colts picked off his sideline out throw, lucky some colt ran into Walker on that play. (COACH HOW DO YOU NOT RUN THE BALL ON 3rd and 1, though?)

Remember this, Marcus is NOT J-ROB's guy. J-RoB was actually in TB when they had a choice of QB. The owner loves Marcus so I do not see anything happening in the next year or two, but with J-ROB, no one is safe if he feels you cannot help this team.

Dallas leads the league in rushing. What modern day scheme would that be? Dez Bryant has been injured, the leading receiver for Dallas is Beasley, a 5'8 white guy....lol.

He rarely takes off before it's too late. Then he looks like my grandpa tripping and losing his balance. I don't think he was handing off, he just appeared to lose the ball on the way back to set up to pass. That pick was on him, and that Colt lit Walker up (said he thought the ball was going to him). Only thing that saved MM. I agree on the 3rd and 1. Why even pass? Run Fowler or Murray, or even MM outside. Just as bad on 3rd and 2. But the REAL backbreaker again was being on the Colts 35 with 3rd down and only needing (maybe) a few yards for a FG and again this week we run the same 20 yard play down the right sideline and throw to a covered receiver and miss a chance for 3 points. MM could have run for 3 yards or more. This has to stop.

Also per @PFF, on the 10 dropbacks Mariota was under pressure, he went 2-for-7, 24 yds., 3 sacks, 41.4 QB rating. #Titans

Anyone with a modicum of football knowledge could see that our offensive game plan against the Colts was solid. Our receivers actually got open for a change, Murray was pounding the rock as usual, but Mariota was indecisive and inaccurate.

On one terrible pass attempt to Andre Johnson, it almost appeared as if Johnson looked back at Mariota with a "WTF was that?" expression.

When that QB is a Chip Kelly option QB, then the answer is 31.

Sure is. Defense was absolutely horrible against a team with 1 good receiver and made a Titans reject TE look all-pro.

But that doesn't mean you close your eyes and pretend Mariota didn't play really bad.

I love posters like this. Completely illogical reasoning. That tackle eligible TD sure was such a conservative "fossil" play call. And the option play too.
And the last sentence of yours makes no sense. We ran the ball a lot in the first 2 quarters. Murray had 9 rushes in the first quarter alone. And if you meant to say we started passing at the end of the 2nd quarter, well with only 2 minutes left of the half, you have to conserve time, so you have to pass more.

Mariota proved the doubters wrong last year that he is very capable of being a franchise qb when you gear your offense around his strengths. This organization put too much emphasis on protecting mariota instead of allowing him to be the best he can be. His arm is good enough to hang with the best of them in the league. He is mostly a good decision maker up until stretches during this season. I thinks its no coincidence that Mariota has struggled more in his entire career with the worst coach in the NFL.
