@Fry I get it, you're frustrated by the decade of garbage ownership has put on the field but have you ever been positive about any of our players besides VY? Yes, MM8 has a lot of faults right now but he is the best we've had in a long time. You're read to bench, trade, get rid of him but I say if we give him time and better OC, he would be very good.

I feel if Belicheck were to retire RIGHT NOW and Mularkey took over in New England that the Pats would be a below 500 team by the end of next season. Mularkey didnt take over the Pats, he took over the worst team in the league. I dont expect to see a lot of development and I hope we get a real coach in as soon as possible.

Notable quarterbacks through first 16 games of their career:

Cam Newton: 21 TDs, 17 pics, had Steve smith, deangelo Williams, and johnathon Stewart. Head coach was Ron Rivera now a 2X coach of the year

Andrew Luck: 23 TDs, 18 pics, had TY Hilton, Reggie Wayne, and Colby Fleener
    Head coach was Pagano obviously

Peyton Manning: 26 TD's, 28 pics, had Marcin Harrison and Marshall Faulk, Jim mora was head coach

Drew Brees: 17 TD's, 17 pics. Tomlinson was his only noteworthy player on offense and a receiving corps with about the same amount of talent as the present day Titans, had Schottenheimer as his head coach

Marcus: 23 TD's, 14 pics, didn't have Demarco until 3 games ago, rest was Sankey,
Kendall was his best receiver for 10 games, now it's tajae who's also a developing first year player, and of course Delanie Walker. Head coach is Mike Mularkey

I think it goes without saying that his numbers aren't really eye popping, but they do kind of blend in with the stats of the guys above who had a better team around them from players all the way to the coach. So why don't we ease up on the attack a little bit and give this thing time. There's no excuse for his poor play and decision making, BUT if anyone can give a realistic explanation on how they see him putting up successful numbers with what he has at his disposal then I'm all ears.

I don't get all ga ga over potential. When he accomplishes something and proves he can be the leader of this team I will concede. I think you should save the kool aid and deal with reality. He has shown signs of greatness, but there are many QB's that have done that and are no longer in the NFL. He is not a proven commodity, so I fail to understand why you think he has the ability to be our franchise QB. I have been here a long time and seen them come and go. I will wait.

When we had good players who played well I said good things about them. Now that we have crappy players who play poorly I say bad things about them. It's pretty simple.

I'm not ready to do anything.

Just like I said to JCB, we don't know right now. Everyone was saying during the offseason that they were sold on him. I said I was hopeful. That hope has dwindled because his play has gotten worse. I think that is reasonable, no?

Yea.. That's kinda how it works in the NFL. You do better against weaker teams.

Yeah reasonable, but we knew or had a feeling with the new coaching staff he'd struggle. Unfortunate really...

So you think Mariota going 11/19 for 103 yards, 0 INT 0 TD will win us the game against the Texans? I don't. NE could win with abysmal numbers from Brissett because of a beast run game and great defense.
