Oh I agree 100% that he will face tough times eventually, and I am not sold on him yet...but there is no questioning his pocket presence and throws look better....Wentz also didn't have 2 fumbles and a pick in 1 game as far as I know. I have never seen Marcus so unsure...I hope it changes soon.

So how is hiring Greg Roman going to solve any issues this year? Is he going to implement his offense in 1 week and get results? Is he going to try to play call someone else offense? Is Mularkey going to call his own plays and take away from head coaching responsibilities? I could certainly see bringing him in an advisory role, but I have seen to many posters claiming to fire Robiskie and hire this guy. That just isn't going to work. More than likely we will have a whole new staff next year anyways.

We have all noted on this board the lack of talent at many positions. I don't understand how changing coaches is going to improve that problem. Get some real talent in here at WR, then if MM can't make the throws, sit him down and put in Cassell. If he can't get it done, there is always Tanney. If they can't operate the offense at that point, then yes, I believe it is time for a new OC or even HC. While MM has his flaws, lack of talent has created some of that. Just when I want to really unload on him, he runs a two minute drill like a veteran, and makes some incredible throws right on the money. Leaves me scratching my head. Too soon to throw this kind of potential away. I believe we have to play this out and give him a chance with some decent receivers.

They need to allow Mariota more reigns on the offensive play calling. Sometimes he just looks so restricted. Having 2 to 3 guys to look at down field is not a lot of options. This offense just isnt built to max mariotas potential.

Hopefully later this season Mariota will get more plays to run with options to change to a different play. With so many new players on offense, it is a challenge to make sure all players get the signal if the play changes.

Robiskie needs to mix it up and get him into rhythm, maybe one or two drive allow him to go no huddle and play fast, then slow it down and focus on the run on the next series. I don't know, I'm not a coach but its apparent to me on the 2 min drills he's very sharp and the offense moves with ease.

Its painfully obvious that Mariota is a different guy when he is in the uptempo portion of the offense

MM8 has to take care of the football first and foremost.

Scheme, talent, etc. can't overcome the turnover ratio he's creating right now.
