The question was asked of his thoughts on the last drive in general. He said "I was going to go for 2 if we scored"

Screenshot from the Titans app which is the same articles as Titansonline. Unless they really screwed up the press conference transcript, he was directly asked if he would go for 2 and why.

I agree, except for the crime against football part, but only because Ws are so scarce around Nashvegas. If the Titans were a PO team then it would be pretty real silly though

A good coach would have said: "What kind of question is that? We didn't score. That doesn't matter. Don't waste my time with that fluff."

Admit you see Belichek answering like that.

just like when he went for 2 in week 1 didn't make it and then tried to onside kick when it was completely pointless. he really is clueless as it gets from a play calling standpoint. I always believe in extending the game as opposed to a make or break play. Play for OT let the D stop oakland and get the ball back and win the game in OT. All pointless now since Lewan decided to make a bonehead play. It doesn't make me trust him more for him saying this. He needs to go, and there is a reason he has been fired by 4 teams already. Time for him to be fired by his 5th!

Why would the offense need to know what your plans are if you score? Cart before the horse. This guy is scaring me.

Probably just trying to build their confidence and boost them up.

"Ok guys we probably won't score, but if we do, we'll tie the game up at the end and y'all get to hope like hell that sonething happens and we can win in overtime." Isn't too inspiring.

I'm sure most players want to hear that they're going to drive 80 yards and then score a game winning 2 point conversion. Shows the coach is confident in what they're doing.

I don't believe in either scenario. They are professionals and just need the QB to call the plays. When you have been playing for 3 hours it's a little late for pep talks. A simple "do your job and let's get this done" should suffice.
