At what point do you consider?

I just don't see giving up on him quite yet. But at least you know Chip Kelly is still out there if the Titans decide to go in a different direction. But I still want to see what he could do with more then average at best WR's.

 

If Mularkey sticks around it isn't going to matter if we have draft picks or Mariota or a cloned prime Joe Montana.

As much as I admitted not to be on the JRob hype train as most here (not that I dislike him yet, just not on his jockstrap like several here), I'd much rather the owners just move out the way and let him make coaching and personnel decisions.

 

Get rid of Murlarkey. Bring in McDaniels.

Let's get Walker back and then put Amaro with him (dump Supernaw) and then hope to hell get Wright back and see if that improves the situation. I would get McBride back up. He certainly can do no worse than the 3 old guys we have now.

 

What I mean is since the 2015 offseason before we picked Mariota there is no QB we'd be better off with IMO.

Mett, CBJ, Oz, Fitz, Hoyer, Kaep?, Bradford?, Goff, Wentz, I don't see any better QB out there for us..

So what the guy has had 2 bad games out of 3, that's gonna happen to any QB from time to time

It would be incredibly short sighted to shop our young QB, TWW2 should be stoned to death for that suggestion

 

A few reasons:

1. We already committed a top pick on him. Although the staff isnt the same, Mariota was well on his way last seasom with the long ball being his worst trait. He looks like hes regressing this season instead of improving.

Thats on

2. Coaching. His footwork is still bad. The offense they are running isnt what I expected. I expected a run game with play action passes. Were a running and short pass team. This allows CBs, and the defense as a whole, to sit down on WRs routes. Look at Mariotas completions and look at the CB on his back.

They arent getting

3. Separation on their routes. While I commend Jrob for getting guys that go with his philosophy, were screwed without Wright and Walker on the field.

4. Dak is a rookie. Wentz is a rookie. RG3 was a rookie.

See what Im getting at? Some rookies can look good due to scheme. Then when it comes to running a full NFL offense, they fall off. Not saying it will happen to any of those you mentioned, but there are plenty of examples of it happening.


Robiski is making my worst fears come true. They are not developing him correctly and this offense isnt doing him any favors. If Robiski stays and this offense isnt changed, it could ruin Mariota. While he has made some mistakes, its pretty clear when hes running the 2 minite drill, he and the WRs look better.

That is the type of offense he should be in. This isnt for him. He cannot get into a rhythm.

 

We had a shot at both Bridgwater and Garoppolo and passed, Mariota was the next best thing for us at the time he was brought in

 

It seems like McDaniels is a QB guru, maybe the 2017 version of McDaniels is ready to be a HC

Of course you kill the coach before the QB. No chance the Titans consider trading Mariota before trying him with at least one more coach.
