WTF because of the lack of interviews....I get that.
He was behind the 8 ball because all of the expert Tennessee fans say "he should have never been hired".
It's been 3 games with a low talent roster and a turnover machine at QB.
He could be 3-0 and many would still b1tch because they took a position on his hire and will never come off of it.

Tajae Sharpe is a great possession/route guy, but he isn't making big plays. We have legit, 1 receiver that can make big plays....DELANIE WALKER. Mariota's play has been very disappointing to say the least. I am a big Mary fan, but this turnover crap is killing us...He just doesn't look the same throwing either. I really hope Jrob is seeing this and making adjustments.

Well, since you say it was only Tennessee fans, I would challenge you to link one national article at the time of hire that thought Mularkey was a good hire. Every single article, every talk show that I read or listened to, lambasted the hire. I don't think it was just "expert Tennessee fans". In fact, I am willing to say, the only people who liked the hire at all were a handful of "expert Tennessee fans". Pretty much everyone else on the planet was too busy dropping their jaws in a WTF moment.

Marcus hasn't played well the first three quarters of the games this season. No doubt he must play better and protect the football. It is a key factor in both losses.

But I think it's short-sighted to not look at some of the other issues which impact his game.

The Raiders had eight in-the-box most of the game. I saw a couple of deep shots called all day. I didn't see the INT before the half as I was cooling down up in the shade but saw the pass to Andre Johnson who had little separation on the play. They gave the Raider DBs a lot of respect yesterday but they have to have someone on the roster who stretches the field and a willingness to throw it deep even if it isn't successful.

The windows for Mariota are too small and/or he's a beat behind making the throw. His accuracy has been suspect but guys are not getting open or making plays. A healthy Walker and Wright helps here. He needs both back on the field.

It's the defense. They back up, to prevent the deep stuff, and he gets the intermediate game. Oakland took that away from him yesterday for most of it.

Ask yourself this question. You hire Belichick today, and tell him to go win a game on Sunday.....we don't give a rat's ass about the "future" or rebuilding, we are tired of losing. Who would he start? Mariota, Cassell or Tanney?
