Wait... you're comparing his ceiling to Mariota. Now I know you're full of BS. I think his ceiling is spot starting #2 qb. I think Mariota's ceiling is hall of fame. (Not saying I think that's going to happen, just that he has the talent to do it) Tanney is not bad, but no way in hell do I want him to even start one game for us. I don't want Cassel to either to be fair. I don't see either of them leading us to victory.

I think you have to go with the experience for your #2 though if you don't have a young guy you think can develop into a starter, and I don't think Tanney will develop into a starter.

MM hasn't played one full season and you are ready to put hin in the HOF?......lol. Man, you are hung up on him. Got a huge poster in your room too? Brady was drafted in the 7th round. You probably wouldn't have given him a chance either - only 1st rounders have talent...right?

(Hint: If you sober up you can probably get posting down better)

I was talking about Mett throwing a pick 6 and being worthless.

Tanney didn't start that game. He came in and put up those numbers in one half.

I see what you were trying to say now. It could be read two ways. You are correct, Mett started, and Tanney did all that in one half. Considering he barely knew his receivers names, I think he did OK.

I was in no way referring to MM8, was referring to Cassel vs Tanney.

I said his ceiling is hall of fame. Do you not know what ceiling means? It means if he plays up to his potential he can make the hall. More than likely he'll just have a couple of pro bowls. His floor is bottom half starter. (Think Fitzpatrick) More than likely he'll be a solid starter. (Think Matt Ryan or Flacco). I don't see him busting out at all.

The best Tanney can aspire to is a career back up/bottom tier starter. (Think Brian Hoyer or Josh McCown) His floor is out of the league next season. Meaning he will most likely be a career back up at best.

Also, right after I wrote the Hall of Fame thing you conveniently ignored the parentheses saying that I wasn't saying I thought he was going to the Hall. Just that that is his ceiling.

The 5.5 isn't based on anything. He just looked really, really slow running around back there.
