Yeah can't argue too much there. Mac 9, Eddie, Moss and Mason (M2) would have put them on another level and no doubt would force the media to talk about the Titans during that run

To me, it's no different than the Ravens. They were the Browns first...

If people want to count us as the Oilers, I'm counting the Ravens as the Browns too.

I was 8 years old when the team moved to TN. Lol

I wasn't alive back when you become an Oilers fan.

My dad grew up in Texas and his family were Cowboys fans, so I had Cowboys gear growing up as a kid, but I didn't care about a team until the Titans... I still remember my dad watching one of the Cowboys Super Bowls against the Bills upstairs screaming while I was downstairs playing Nintendo.

I guess Oilers in 98 would count for me too though because I went to all those games and had a Tennessee Oilers hoodie. But all in all, I only count 99-present. I was too young to be a real fan before then.

I see your perspective (8 when they moved, I get it) but it actually is different being that the Ravens weren't allowed to keep their history as the Browns and the Titans did keep the Oilers history. Some of us witnessed some of the misery we see now, before. I wasn't around for "love ya blue" but I started following the Oilers for 2 reasons, Warren Moon and I HATE the Steelers (grew up in PA with a bunch of their obnoxious fans)

Though it wasn't a choice I'd go Haynesworth + Kearse.

I went with Casey and pre-payday AH. That would be absolutely filthy, and make any secondary look amazing.

While I take Oiler history into account, I know little to nothing about it TBH. When my dad put me into peewee football when I was 9 (1995), I felt I had to pick a team and went with the Cowboys because they were winning, and Emmit Smth was money. After playing for a couple years, I felt I had to pick my own team instead of picking one that was good. The Titans were new, their jerseys were sweet, so I hopped on board. And what a ride for the first few years..... Too bad it has gone devastatingly wrong lol.

Every off season I'm hopeful, but that's been dwindling over the years. My hope is high this year, but very cautiously lol.

What? The Ravens weren't allowed to keep their history? What does that even mean?

NFL teams are essentially a brand. Change the brand name, it's a new brand. Simple as that to me.

Art Modell lost a suit with Cleveland or something along those lines that allowed the new Browns to retain the history of the Browns up to the point of moving to Baltimore and the Ravens from a history stand point are in the same category as expansion teams.

It's the same team to me....been watching them since the Oiler days as well. I lived in the north east all my life and it didn't affect me when they moved. McNair, George, etc transitioned with the team as they were drafted by the Oilers and I followed the team. The owner wanted to keep the history intact and made a strong effort to do so. The history carried over as well....

Much respect to the newcomers, but some of us came over and see it as the same team....they even kept the same colors.

    CJ2K and Lo Neal

Johnson would have broken the record if he had Lo Neal paving the way in 09.
