With the 140th Pick of the 2016 Draft: Massachusetts WR Tajae Sharpe

I vouched for Jeffery all day on here, but people thought I was crazy for it. I've followed Jeffery his entire career and I knew he was going to be a stud.

 

I'm not sure how people can say "if he was on our team he would suck" when we've never had an elite WR to gauge anything by? There has been good WR's on bad teams with much less talented QB's than Mariota

 

It's crazy to think....I saw a video of someone saying our last 1K yard receiver was Drew Bennett over 10 years ago. That is insanely pathetic. Someone better emerge this year, or our first pick is likely going to be a WR.

 

You're quick to forget Kendall Wright in 2013

 

Yeah, apparently they made that blunder as well....Still....2 in 10+ years isn't good...and Kendall is not a consistent 1K receiver type anyway. He sucks as a #1.

 

Look whats changed since Drew Bennett's time, the QB.

Fact of the matter is no WR will thrive with Kerry Collins, Vince Young, Jake Locker, or Zach F-It leading the way.

And as you may know, Im still a fan of Wright's for the time being, I really just believe his issue has been the lack of a real QB.

But still even at his best he's only a 800-900 yard slot guy, so how good is he really capable of being...

 

When he runs clean routes, stays upright, and can play outside....Then i'll believe it...The problem is, we need people to STEP UP on the outside so we can use him the way he should be.

 

What your referring to (I forgot who said it, but it was on NFLN) but Drew Bennett was the last Titans reciever to have 1,000 yards and 10+ TDs.

The year Kendall hit 1,000 I think he only had 2-3 TDs.

 

He can play outside if he has to, and TBH I dont hate the idea of DGB in the slot

 

And Bennett did it with Billy Volek so I'm sure DGB can do it with Mariota
