I hated Whiz as a HC & OC. He did nothing to help develop any of his players. His type of leadership was confidence crushing to most who played or him.

There is one thing he said that made sense to me. "At some point these professional football players have to win some one on ones." Now I do not agree that you put a rookie RT against JJ Watt & expect him to win one on one. That is where Whiz was smoking the good stuff. He wanted these guys to win one on one ALL the time. It's just not going to happen. When certain plays are called; you need to Max Protect. In several instances I saw a lot of times that we should of had an extra TE in to help the lineman, or at least do some chipping. The problem with Whiz was he was all or nothing. He wanted it his way & no other way. With college kids coming out so unprepared to play in the NFL you must help most of them. He was just not willing to take away from his game plan in order to have extra blockers. Marcus paid the price.

I hope Mularkey is much better with his scheme & protections. Before that will matter very much, our line men HAVE to be better. Hopefully Grimm can do something to change the way they have played.

I love this team & want us to win. I just have a hard time thinking that Mularkey's predictability will yield much better results than Whis' stubbornness.
