If you had to call out one player who would it be?

I get what he's saying. Klug was never expected to be an all star, so he's playing probably above the potential of when he was drafted. These other guys that were drafted to be the starters are not performing. Every team needs some rotational guys. It's hard to compare Klug's success level (or lack of) with a guy like Hunter, Sankey or even Wright. Those guys are expected to start and take the team "to the next level", Klug never was.

 

I get it but at end of the day you still get a really crappy player either way.I rather keep the underachiver with potential in that case.

Get draft positions/money out the way we have to get rid off all this trash players epecially the ones who have been here for a while.

 

To a certain extent money will always be part of the problem. Klug will always cost a lot less than expected starters specifically those playing the high profile positions.

 

Yeah, those eight sacks Dwight Freeney got for the Cardinals at the end of games when they had a lead were useless.

Guys carve out niches in this league, it's how most of them survive.

Justin Hunter's niche is dropping wide open passes and getting hurt. He gets ragged on accordingly.

Klug plays special teams, gives us some quality snaps on the DL, and even plays some offense. I see nothing wrong with that.

Klug is also good for about 5 sacks a year being a rotational player. That's damn impressive

 

Klug is also good for getting push 10 yards back on running plays big reason why our run defense sucks.

If you think 4 sacks a year is impressive then I bet you're also ok with 2 wins a year.

Careful there JC, you'll derail the hyperbole train.

 

You understand that Klug is cheap labor, works his ass off, and is team first attitude. His ability to do multiple jobs on the field makes him valuable. He isn't good against the run I understand that, But that's why Al Woods, DaQuan Jones, Blackson, and Austin Johnson need to produce on first and second down.

Bottom line is every team has Klugs on it. They key is keeping those type of players in the right situation. Injuries and a lack of starting talent forced Klug into situations where he couldn't win.
