I totally keep forgetting Robiskie is our OC

I seriously can't see him adjusting to the new style of offense in this era.

I don't expect our offense to adjust to the new NFL today and I think that's what they are banking on as to why it will be successful. They want to go against the grain. Obviously I still think they will have a good chunk of oregons playbook available for Marcus but we're going to Kordell Stewart days where they ran and ran and ran and let him run playaction bootlegs and rollouts. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't but successful teams stay ahead of trends even if it's going back to old ones. NE consistently stays ahead of trends and while others catch up copying they move onto another. I'm assuming this is what Jon Robinson is trying to do. I still don't like the retention of MM and good portion of his hires but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as they do seem to be better than Whiz although that's not saying much.

More like "Big Ben" days. They are going to do everything they can to protect Marcus. We are going to run to setup the pass. Mid season is when they will open it up ever so slightly once Marcus is totally comfortable with the offense. There is no way they are going to risk injuring Marcus with designed runs. He will run but mostly on plays where it's just stealing.

Spent the #2 pick in the draft on the best hander-offer in the league.

After what Robiskie accomplished in Atlanta with the receivers there, I'm pretty sure they won't be ignoring the pass.
If he can turn DGB into anything close to Julio, TN will be set for years.

That's a big "IF". I think Robiskie got a little too much credit for what Roddy and Julio accomplished in this league.

Remember when Shawn Jefferson got a bunch of credit for what he did with Calvin Johnson? Turns out Megatron was just really ****ing good and Jefferson ended up not doing a damn thing for our WRs.

Robiskie went to Atlanta in 2008. Roddy White had a 1200-yard 7-TD season in 2007.

There's nothing wrong with taking the pressure off a QB early in his career.

Not at all, but there is a fine line between helping a young QB and handcuffing him. Does anyone trust this scrub coaching staff to straddle that line correctly?

Probably not but I think it's really dependant on the players instilling confidence in the coaches to call plays
