Is he a #2 qb? Sure did not look like it has last couple of stops. He looked awful behind the best line in the nfl last year, little lone this bunch we have here.

entering the offseason we had Mett and Tanney as backups, anyone else was a good move

no one is thrilled it was Cassel, but beats the other 2

Yeah...That's pretty bad when Cassel is the better option...

    indeed

Tanney may turn into a surprise

looked good in the preseason, looked equally as good week-17 in garbage time, maybe with another year of experience he can finally become our backup QB

but it is nice to have a backup with experience, which is why Cassel got the job..

Yeah...I get the signing. I'm not a huge fan, but he's been around...Can't be worse than Mett.

Won a game last year. Infinitely better than Mett has ever done.

Well, his experience and play was better than our previous backup QB, its debatable but again his experience helps.

Yeah I agree. Had I worked on flexibility I probably could have played D1 baseball as well. I often times told guys that your arm is just along for the ride. Your legs, hips, core generate most of the power and your scapula/internal and external rotation of your shoulder really provided the majority of your velocity. Legs are a huge part of it. Flexibilty is very important as well.

Certainly strength helps but I've seen super weak guys throw the hardest because they are flexible and properly use their lower half.
