I liked it quite a bit. I really don't think Leo is a great actor. Every time Leo shows emotion or anger it's all via shouting.

Tom hardy was fantastic. A lot of the side characters weren't great as far as actors either. Definitely well produced though

 

Tom Hardy was excellent. So was that kid. And production was great.

I just thought they could have done more to build the story. Like starting with the expedition starting point rather than just skipping so quickly to the bear attack.

 

Tom Hardy is effen great in everything. Probably my favorite actor out there right now. And dem traps....

I loved it. But I will admit it was kinda more of an "experience" type film than it was necessarily a great/groundbreaking story.

 

Fair enough.

I am a history fan so I like seeing more setting. And know the Hugh Glass story and that of moubtainmen in general I was hoping for more on that.

Yea I hated him so much in Revenant. Such a good actor. His role in Inception is my favorite so far.

 

I watched Fantastic Four re-boot/re-make/re-whatever today. I watched it because of the massive negative ratings and the controversy over the director and and the reshoots in the film. The director is the same guy that did Chronicle which I loved.

Such an odd movie and you can tell obviously where it must've fallen apart during filming. The first half or maybe third of the movie I really enjoyed. Took the science fairly seriously and was really pretty interesting... but once they get their powers the whole thing falls apart, including an "1 year later" almost immediately after they get their powers. And wow oh wow did Dr Doom and the Thing look dumb as hell. Like 90s sci-fi channel friday night movie bad.

 

Keanu kinda disappointed me. A handful of funny moments for me but the rest fell kinda flat. I was still entertained but wish I just waited for Redbox. At least I went on $5 Tuesdays.
