The problem is none of them were any good to begin with, Warmack included.

I guess you could look at it that way... chicken or egg

My point is the OL had talent when they were acquired by the Titans and not only has none progressed as a Titan, which is the damn point of coaching, but they all regressed. They got worse every year they were Titans.

You can say CW was drafted to early - fine I wont argue - but you cant say he had no talent when he was drafted

I'd say he was too damn slow and unathletic; two things that are on display 16 Sundays every Fall. No coaching is going to fix those issues.

Same with Lewan. He was too finesse in college and a fake nasty guy. Same way here.

    well there you go...

I will say I agree, but not 100%

CW should be more professional and be in better shape ect....
TL should run his pie hole less & learn how to hold an acceptable amount for the NFL ...

despite their faults they regressed under Bostad. THAT is on BB more than the players IMO

I can't see how you can say Lewan regressed under Bostad. He's the only OL coach he's had in the NFL. Maybe he just isn't that good? Maybe he is. We'll find out in five months.

Just taking a look at our starting five from the beginning of last year: Lewan has been nothing but inconsistent. Bell was a bad T moved to G despite never playing the position. Schwenke has been below average his entire career when actually healthy. Warmack was an underachiever before Bostad arrived. Poutasi was out of position at RT. That entire unit was a band of misfits.

I'm not saying Bostad is absolved of all responsibility because it was obvious no one had a clue as to what they should be doing, but these guys aren't all that good either.

I choose to blame BB because the alternative is unthinkable

Poutasi playing T was beyond stupid. BS was ok at C, but there was no dropoff when Gallik played C. Nobody is gonna miss BS when Jones lines up at C that is true.

I hold out hope that the Wizinator/Webster did not ruin Poutasi and that he can compete at G. Have rookies that are supposed to be talented coming to Nashvegas this summer with a totally different GM/HC/OC/OL regime so everyone gets to hit the reset button and start anew

CW/Poutasi/ect... need to take advantage of this unique situation

OK, so the position coach doesnt have to have any experience actually playing the position they're coaching...

I can see it working both ways. HOF coach not being a good coach or MR.never played football being a great coach.

But, one thing either would have to have to be good is the ability to have players buy in and believe in what they are teaching. If they're constantly harping on something and it's obviously not helping the player improve or making the player worse, obviously the player isn't going to get behind the coaches philosophies.

A coach who has played the position can at least stress what has and hasn't worked for them and tweak certain things for certain players to get the best out of them. A coach who hasn't played the position is most likely going to teach textbook philosophies that may not work for all players.

Hmm if cj would have said something like this you and everyone else would have been calling for his head. Warmack has been a scrub since day 1. I can live with self entitlement if you're actually producing on the field but this type of attitude that Warmack showed is not what this team needs. He's a cancer. Peace fat boy.
