Dunno what you're talking about, but Cliff Clavin (nee John Ratzenberger) was in Empire Strikes Back.

I remember him in that.. Rebel army, right?

FUBAR is an off-the-chain Alberta beer-guzzling hoser comedy.
A couple of Calgary screw-ups head north to get hardcore outdoor pipeline jobs.
    Hilarity ensues..

A scene you would appreciate (in the second, superior film) is when Deaner chooses to spend his first paycheck on a BC Rich Warlock bass and start a band called Nightseeker, that plays the local trucker boobie bar..

Anyone who likes Trailer Park Boys loves FUBAR. Even people who do not like TPB love FUBAR. I have not met anyone who did not like it.

The movies are mockumentary style flowing two friends who are dim witted alcoholic metal heads. The first one comes off as being much more realistic.

The second does not try to be too realistic and instead just goes over-the-top.

Not sure if I would say the second one is superior. I watched the first one in the theatre after seeing a teaser trailer for it when seeing another movie. All the trailer showed was cut scenes with heavy metal music playing.

Watches the movie and loved it. Probably why I will always love the first one more.

You should watch the first one before the second or the second will not be nearly as good.

That first movie just hit it right on the head in so many ways. Maybe it is a Canadian thing and maybe my age (I am about the age of the characters in the movie) but I knew guys exactly like that growing up. Everyone knew guys like that.

The film makers did an amazing job capturing that personality. Right down to the car they drive. Guys like that LOVE two door GM cars from the 80s! And you would usually see them in one of those cars -- At least back then when the original was made. No so much now, not many of those cars left.

There is one scene that epitomized those guys. It is when they went to High River and met that guy on the bike to hang out with. My friend said "People like that can always find each other."

And it is true, they are like homing pigeons. They can always find each other.

I plan on rewatching the first one again soon. Each film has a friend with small roles. The first has my friend Craig who is the med tech that meets Deaner in the hospital..
