Lame excuses... He sucks one way or the other. Better coaching could help, but for him to take no responsibility for sucking is pretty lame.

If everything he said is true, he should've just done his own thing and ignored the coaches. If you're that talented, ignore the coaches and show them they're clueless.

He's just butthurt he missed out on $11mil. Can't wait to get this bum out of here.

I haven't sat down and read all the replies on this post but, I have to agree that we HAD a serious coaching problem when it came to our OLine. To watch these guys get pushed around by Cleveland...... Anyway, I'm hoping that the new OLine coach works out. On the other hand, how can we find GOOD coaches when their career rests on a coach(es) whom may only be around a couple of years. No job security.
Personally, I think we have a good line and we've got a better line now thanks to Robinson. Our past problem was poor coaching. Time will tell.

I do think terrible coaches have hurt us especially when it comes to developing players. But I also think Warmack is just lazy hopefully since his contract is up after this season he works hard and plays much better this year!

That's a really idiotic thing to say. Doing your own thing on the OL is how you get your QB killed. The OL needs to function as one cohesive unit. If the OL coach isn't giving everyone the proper training and coaching to work as one, then you end up with people trying to do more than they should, picking up guys they shouldn't, and others going free. Which is exactly what we had happen for the past 2 years.

Has Chance been great? No, I don't think anyone argues that. Not even Chance does. When asked to compare his play to Marshall Yanda this past December Chance said:

Tennessee Titans need far more out of Chance Warmack - Tennessee Titans Blog- ESPN

So he obviously had no illusions about his play being suspect. He also was never going to get that 5th year at that price. That's LT money, not RG.

Eh, I don't recall Munchak actually ever coaching him. I know Matthews did...but on that note did Bruce ever coach up a dominate OL? I wouldn't say the same if this was Much because he clearly had lot's of dominant OLs under his belt. Don't feel like I can say the same for Bruce.

I'm not suggesting he go into full freelance mode... I'm suggesting that when your coaching is so horrific that it's already getting the QB killed worse than anything else you can do, you have to ignore some of it. I'm not saying to ignore the play itself. I'm talking technique. If Chance is as good as he is supposed to be and thinks bad coaching is the reason he sucks, he should've done something differently.

Plenty of elite players ignore their coaches when they are detrimental to them.

Bostad has literally been coaching OL since before Warmack was born. I'm not saying that coaching wasn't a problem, but Warmack is pretty far off with his comments, especially when your biggest knock was being a lazy fat sack of garbage.

His comments make me think he might be hard to coach. Having played a position isn't a requirement for knowing how to coach it. If he sucked as a coach he sucked as a coach but Warmack leads one to believe that he might not have been giving the coach a fair shot based on personal beliefs that are misplaced.
