It's not even close to an even split. He's left tackle pretty much the entire time. They run some with a TE to the outside and some uneven sets but even then he is the furthest out lineman. You are tripping.

Correct, dunce would know this if he had ever actually played anything. A d lineman will switch often to find an easier matchup. High school 101.

    Levitre, Blind Side, Etc.

This franchise has gone vet OL quite often. The quality usually isn't the best and, for whatever reason, when the talent looked promising, the production wasn't there.

I hope Jones breaks the trend.

Perhaps. But he did have a free ride to college. If he didn't pay attention, it's gonna be his fault he's on the soup line.

Plus, I have a feeling that JRob will be very active in camp and practices. He will most likely be very vocal at times. Just look at him.... Not the kind that bites his tongue.

Titans fans may have to steal McDonald's slogan for our stadium chant. "I'm lovin it"

That's how bad that draft was , a overweight Plodding RB in the late 2nd was one of the better picks of the entire first 2 days of the draft

I'm not saying that Chance hasn't been a disappointment, because he has. BUT I don't think this is indicative of Chance being a 'bust' or that he will be gone next year.

The reason his option wasn't picked up is based on the way they calculate the fifth year option for top 10 Offensive linemen.

1st of all, as a top 10 pick, the 5th year option is like a transition tag. The player get paid an average of the top 10 players at his position. For a player to be worth that, he'd have to be considered a top 10 player at his position.

HOWEVER, for OL, they lump all positions together (LT, G, C, RT) Meaning that part of that 'average' includes all of that left tackle money. Obviously we aren't going to pay a guard the same amount as a top 10 LT.

So this is a problem for all interior OL that are selected in the top 10. No team will want to pick up the option as long as top 10 LT money is being used to calculate it.

Blind side was a proven scrub. And levitre was stellar last season in Atlanta.

Levitre is good in zone blocking. We run more of a power blocking scheme. RW had no clue that the two schemes require different personnel and that not every player is a fit for both schemes. This is most likely also the reason why the Titans had Conklin ahead of Tunsil on their board.

Just saying vets guarantee nothing. NFL teams don't usually allow top players to walk.

I do like that the Titans got Jones. Some of the best OLs this team had was when Mawae was brought in and elevated the nasty of all the developing draft picks on the roster. I'm not going to put Jones at that same level but having someone with experience calling protections and being able to hold up at the snap takes a lot of pressure off young players.
