T Jack Conklin - I'm glad JRob addressed this need first with the best T on his board. I do believe he gave up too much to move up to make this pick but if Conklin develops into a great player, as some have predicted, it will be worth it.

DE Kevin Dodd - This is the pick I have the most doubts about. It seems that Noah Spence or Kamalei Correa would have been a better fit as an edge rusher. We know that Dodd can put his hand in the dirt but can he rush from a two-point stance? Also, Dodd was the "other" DE in Clemson's 4-3, facing ACC right tackles, who reportedly weren't that good. How will the one-year wonder fare against NFL left tackles? To try to put a positive spin on it, I don't believe JRob would have made this pick if Dick LeBeau didn't give his OK. LeBeau invented the zone blitz. He had Harrison and Woodley rushing the passer when he was with the Stoolers with that Blitzburgh defense; turned Harrison from an UDFA into an All-Pro. Hopefully, Dodd won't be just a backup OLB; on passing downs I think LeBeau will get Orakpo, Morgan and Dodd on the field at the same time. I can only hope JRob and LeBeau are right on this pick.

NT Austin Johnson - Great pick, we desperately needed a run-stuffer after opposing RBs have gashed our defenses ever since Fat Albert left.

RB Derrick Henry - While I don't completely agree with this pick, I do understand the reasoning behind it.

S Kevin Byard - Filled a need, but was he drafted way too early? Not sure if the Titans would have gotten more value by drafting someone else at this spot and taking Byard in Round 5. IMO, there's a good chance Byard would have still been on the board at the top of Round 5. IIRC, some opinions were Round 6 on him.

WR Tajae Sharpe - From the scouting reports, this looks like great value. Great production in his college career. 8 for 83 yards against Notre Dame. Good week at the Senior Bowl.

CB LeShaun Sims - Another guy I haven't seen play. Good scouting reports.

G Sebastian Tretola - I'm surprised he was still on the board this late in the draft. Love this pick. Great value again; seems like a theme for JRob's late round picks.

OLB Aaron Wallace - Injury concerns dropped him to Round 7 but he provides competition at a spot in need of depth. Could be an upgrade over Mount, YCV and Bass.

Mr. Irrelevant - @dpbrugler says CB Kalan Reed will not be irrelevant in the NFL. #Promise

Yeah I was bummed when I found out we had to retain the current scouting department for this draft but I understand you can't hash out a new staff on the fly. I like that JRob was regarded as an excellent scout himself and worked up from the bottom to become a GM so he has an idea how to grade players and didn't have to rely solely on our poor scouting department assessment. Still should be smoother next year with his own hand picked guys.

Mike Yowarsky and Marv Sunderland are the two scouts let go so far. Hopefully Blake Beddingfield is next.

They were his hand picked guys this year. While the scouting department was the same, JR. was working with his previous scouting dept before he came here so he knew a lot of the players already. Sure he can change the focus or change the priorities of what he's looking for without retooling the whole department first. I think moving forward they will be more able to pick mid-later round guys who fit their system better.

Wallace didn't have injury concerns. He was buried behind Barr, Kendricks, and Jack. When Jack got hurt he got his chance and finished the season with 7 sacks in limited playing time. Not bad if you ask me.

Yeah...I was originally pretty upset that we didn't get a corner earlier. However, when I started looking deeper into the players we drafted, I understand what jrob was doing.

The safety from mtsu looks like a special player. I think he could end up the best safety in this draft class. His ball hawking skills and ability to run the ball remind me of...wait for it....yep, Ed reed. I know that's a long shot, but his stats, tape, combine numbers, attitude all point to him eventually being a great player imo.

I also believe his other late round picks were on point. He realized this class was really deep at corner, so despite the temptation of grabbing a big name earlier he waiTed and still got two really good looking late round corners.

The mauler from Arkansas seems to be one of the best picks of the draft for jrob. He was the only lineman that the DTs consistently admitted to hating going against in drills. Seems like a good guy to have.

I didn't think Henry was going to be the pick, but I can't help but be extremely happy about the it. I personally think Henry is a freak of nature that will help us win a lot of football games.

I'm also really intrigued by the Wallace pick. After reading up on him, I couldn't believe he fell that far. 7 sacks in limited playing time. And for his size, hes freakishly athletic. Seems like a smart guy too.

The first 3 picks were all solid. I wish we would have taken a chance on tunsil at first, but I really like conklin. He's got a winning personality. As for dodd, another really good pick with huge upside. He and Johnson are both really talented, high motor guys with a lot of size, something our team has been lacking.

Im finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel...I think.
