This is a great point because I wanted billings at #33 after seeing him fall there. Then CB at #43, Fuller or Alexander. I said from the beginning, JR gets the benefit of doubt from me because he started from the bottom and worked his way up to GM because of his ability to spot talent. I think he knows more than we all do. This was a very forward thinking draft. A couple guys will be ready to start next year while contributing this year. Plus two 2017 firsts. One better be a CB though lol

Though it is early I am, ATM, hoping for CB and ILB next year in the first.

Agreed. Definitely CB. I'm hoping we can put an end to needing WR.

TBH, this wasn't a great draft year for talent in general. However, you get what you get and deal with it. I have gut feeling these picks are gonna wow people in a few months.:)

The best draft grade i've seen out there from the experts is a freaking B-, that is god awful considering we needed an absolute home run draft to turn things around

We were pretty equal in drafting defense and offense this draft. 6 defense guys 4 offense guys. I'd like to see that trend continue, maybe focus on some real playmakers early next year.

I wouldn't go by the grades or the expert opinions, the only way to feel out a draft is to see in 2 years how many of those guys are starters. If none then yeah, bad gm and bad picks.

That's how we knew Ruston Webster was not a great gm, he only brought in 8 starters in his 4 years here.

Look at this article and how it critiques Ruston Webster. Same scale should be used for Jon Robinson during his tenure here.

Remember our CB's were Nick Harper and Cortland Finnegan in 2008 when we had a dominant defense.

Great pass rush and a ball hawking safety can do a lot for you.

I completely agree on JRob he has proven he can spot talent and has a great track record of doing so. He's not gonna be perfect but this draft was a major upgrade from the Webster drafts we are used to.

Better than last year when offense got most of the attention.
