We are losing a selection between 33-43. That seems like more than "not that much". Getting a top40 player in the draft is pretty big.

WF feels about the same as Alex and I do. Graded it a C.

    Titans acquire No. 8 overall pick, 6th-rounder (No. 176) from Browns for Nos. 15, 76, 2017 2nd-rounder
I loved Tennessee's decision to move down in the first place. Picking up tons of draft picks was awesome for the team's future, as it allowed them to build heavily around Marcus Mariota. This, however, doesn't seem very good. Surrendering a second-rounder next year hurts, given that the 2017 NFL Draft class is superior to this one (check out my 2017 NFL Mock Draft.) Moving up for Jack Conklin doesn't seem too exciting either. I know Conklin was going to be snatched off the board at No. 10, but consider that Tennessee could've obtained Larmey Tunsil by giving up less to slide up to No. 12 or so. I'm just not sure Conklin is worth surrendering second- and third-round pick for.

This is what tips the scales to me saying no.

Mularkey probably won't even be here for the 2018 draft, so I can understand why they did not make the deal. He could benefit from it in no way. That's why I felt like the Browns' trade was good for the organization but not for Sashi Brown or Hue Jackson.

Plus, let's not forget that the Eagles would be moving up one more spot, which would need to be compensated in some way. They may not have had the capital to make that trade happen.

I'm usually not a fan of teams trading up, but the Titans had tons of resources to do so. It would've been ridiculous for them to keep all of their picks, so moving up for a player they weren't going to obtain at No. 15 made a ton of sense. Right tackle was a huge need, and that has been filled with Conklin.

What's interesting is that the Titans passed on Laremy Tunsil. It's crazy that one of the top two players in the draft continues to fall, and teams that need him are passing on him.

**** that's WHY we would want the pick in 2018. Surely we will have a new coaching staff by then and what coaches wouldn't be happy about going to a team with extra early picks.

And we got a top tackle that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to get.
