With the 8th Pick of the 2016 Draft: Michigan State OT Jack Conklin

It wasnt just weed as the character issue with tunsil. He also took benefits that he wasnt allowed to in college and I believe there was an assault issue as well. Multiple red flags.

Not saying he wont turn it around and be a model citizen but its hard to ignore the multiple red flags.

I think they made the safe choice and they still have multiple other picks that they wouldnt have had prior to trading the #1 pick.

 

The injuries,the weed, the taking money from the coaches, the assault, the lawsuit with his step dad. A lot of baggage

 

The Conklin pick, whatever. Not my cup of tea, but it is what it is. That trade was balls though. We essentially traded three top 76 picks for the rights to a right tackle. Cleveland (J)robbed us.

 

Yep, and maybe now that he has a legit OT next to him, and a legit Center he can start playing better. You ignored the whole part about how this improves every aspect of our team and that is a game changer.

 

The elite defensive playmakers were gone, there was no WR worthy of a top 10 pick, and we had Conklin as our top 1 or 2 OT. If he turns into a Pro Bowl OT as well as Lewan it was worth it. RT's are just as important as LT's now a days.

 

Jack Conklin won't help Warmack from getting his **** pushed in. Chance is soft. All he does is get physically worked.

 

I thought we were talking about the Titans and football players

I know there is a value placed on where a guy was taken ect....

but that aside Warmack is an average NFL starting G, but young enough to get better.

Will probably be a typical Webster pick and not decide he wants to be good till his contract season....

 

Then wait and take Decker at 15 if Conklin isn't there.

I'm convinced Conklin was a top 5 player and the #1 OT on our board.
