I keep doing mock draft simulations and if I don't grab a RT at 15, none of the top 4 are lasting until 33 and there's almost too much value on the board to reach on Spriggs.

It's quite the conundrum. Again, I'd prefer to trade back into the 20s and grab Conklin/Decker than reach at 15. There's such a talent gap in the 10-19 range. I'd rather be at 20 than 15

I think we are sitting at a good position with #15. That is the area teams will look to trade up for Paxton Lynch IMO. If none of our top guys fall to #15, we should look to deal #15 and our 7th to the Jets for #20, their 3rd and 4th.

    1. OT Taylor Decker
    2. S Karl Joseph
    2. DT Vernon Butler
    2. CB Kyle Fuller
    3. OG/C Nick Martin
    3. OLB Jaylon Smith - with all these picks, he's worth the risk.
    3. WR Braxton Miller / WR Leonte Carroo
    4. TE Nick Vannett

I did a couple mocks and found the same thing. Problem is the good CB’s were coming off the board quick and gone by #15. But traded back twice and still snagged Spriggs and loaded up in the second. I’d love to see one of the top 3 CB’s fall to #15 and then get a starting RT at #33. Cross both those of the list and get depth with the rest of the picks.

Would be very happy. Give me a G/C or even a TE instead of Smith. That drop foot issue is no joke. Someone else can make that plunge.

I see the same thing. I keep trying to remind myself that there is no reason to fix every need in this draft. We have two 1st picks next year. We can take the best OT at 15, and then get a ton of value and possible starters at DT, ILB, OLB and WR in rounds 2 and 3. Maybe even get a serviceable CB/PR as well (maybe Cyrus Jones?) Then next year, pick a top CB, and an offensive playmaker in the 1st, and fill out the o-line and secondary in the 2nd and 3rd. We are at least two years away from being decent no matter what happens.

I like the 2.0 Titans pick better, but I don't see us addressing olb in the first round unless it's Myles Jack. Pax Lynch at 12 is interesting, I think Saints have other needs. Overall good board.
