Rumor Red Jerseys: Myth No More?

Red jerseys: myth no more? Perhaps some fans are too young to remember when the Titans did wear red jerseys.

I have two red Titans jerseys in my closet, an Eddie and a DMase. Might have another one too, but don't remember which player.

Wasn't one of the criticisms of Tommy Smith for his incorrect comment that the Titans had never worn red? People said it showed how out of touch he was. Of course, when the Titans were wearing red jerseys, it was when Tommy was in Bud's doghouse so maybe Tommy didn't go to any of the games then or watch them on TV.

 

No Oiler team or Titans have ever worn red jersey's other than QB's in scrimmages or practice.

Nah dude. Never happened.

They did make red alternate jerseys for fans, but they were never worn for games.

 

I'm not home now so I can't post pics of the jerseys I have but here are some pics from eBay. Looks like there are two styles - one has a red neckline and black numbers on front and back; the other has a blue neckline with white numbers on front and back.

 

Ah, thanks. I seemed to remember they were worn in a game or three but apparently not. I wondered why the only pics I could find weren't from game action. Also explains why the jerseys are in circulation.

 

I remember these. I thought they saw a game or two as well actually.
