Do the Titans trade up (from #33) to nab Nkemdiche?

  2. No. We should stay put and take the BPA at #33

You want to think this through and try again? Trade #33 for nothing this year...only to get about the same draft pick next year?

What read flags (emphasis on the plural) would you be referring to? The only one I am aware of is the incident where he was caught with synthetic MaryJ at a party...injuring himself in the process (probably was horseplaying with a teammate and fell out off the balcony).

As far as on the field...every single player is going to have some negative comments about their game (what you refered to as another red flag?). Even Tunsil, who was projected No.1 overall. His happens to be about consistency. All of these things are the reason why he is even in the late 1st to early 2nd rd discussion...rather than in the Top 5. Early on in the draft process, he was widely considered in the Top 10, but the concerns have dropped him down.

It's a risk vs reward equation, and one I think is heavily in favor of the reward, late in the 1st Rd. I agree, there will likely be a good DT there still in the 2nd....but I don't think anyone apart from Buckner or Bosa has his impact potential or ceiling.

Dick LeBeau probably had his way in getting those defensive FA acquisitions, recently. I wonder what his view of Nkemdiche is? If anyone can get 100% out of the player, he can.

We all agree that this draft does not have a great deal of offensive talent in it and it is pretty deep on defense. 2017 is more likely to have some explosive offensive players in it like Fournette. So if you can get the defensive players you need with #43 and #45 then why not move #33 for a 1st next yr. Sure more than likely it will be a later 1st rnd pick but that doesn't matter to me because at least it pushes more draft equity into the 2017 draft.

Just imagine in 2017 if we had 3 1st rnd picks then we could forget about adding quantity and really go after true quality players....if the rams end up with a top 10 pick and we are around #15 then we could combine #15 with the acquired Pats pick and get into the top 10 again.....I like the idea of 2 top 10 picks

DGB was coming around and doing the right things for a whole year at Oklahoma before the draft. This guy is still a knucklehead.. PASS.

You dont see a red flag with ppl questioning his lack of consistent effort? I dont want to give up anything for a guy you have to keep motivated each week for his entire career.

If this idiot is available in the seventh round then I would be okay with using the seventh on him.

You hear that about a lot of DL? Some of that has to do with them getting constant double and triple teams. I suspect that is why he went off on Bama and may have been more silent in other games. Bama thought their 4-5* OL could handle him one on one. They found out the hard way, that they couldn't.

I remember the same criticisms about Tennessee Vol DT's Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson, when they were drafted well over a decade ago. People scoff at Haynesworth, but when he was healthy, he was a difference-maker for the Titans. Nkemdiche would play hard for LeBeau.

I admit knowing next to nothing about this class, but I don't think I'd move up to get anyone. Keep what they have, load the roster, and see where it takes them... :)

There is a reason Jonathan Allen decided to stay at Bama another year. There are a boatload of good DT type prospects in this draft so it is dumb to trade up for anybody. We can get Jonathan Bullard at 33 so why give up picks?
