Trade for a vet?

I'm bidding too....a fifth round pick. We have the first pick in the fifth round. If someone else offers a fourth then I'm probably not interested.

 

Until this trade today I was in the 4th round neighborhood, but the extra picks give me the balls to offer a 3rd.

We're talking about a former 1st rounder here with minimal wear. A 3rd for a 26 year old stud Tackle with a favorable contract is easy to pull the trigger on.

 

Just found out who is bad with money.....

 

Having the extra picks doesn't devalue them. A third round pick is worth the same amount today as it was yesterday. I would not have sent a third round pick to the 49ers for Anthony yesterday and I won't do it today.

Also a guy who might play a year and retire again. I'd rather have someone who you know is committed.

 

Its not like he just quit, he had a rough year with a knee and a lingering concussion...

In this day in age a concussion is a lot scarier than any other time, I cant blame him for stepping away, he always said he'd be back after he got healthy.

 

More great reasons not to invest a third round pick in him. He's damaged goods and his injuries forced him out of the game.

 

Then why would the Titans give up a 3rd for a player with knee and concussions issues?

 

because its been over a year since those were issues?
