Former Saints DE Will Smith shot dead after car accident

I travel for a living and I've seen my share of road ragers... it's why I carry. Funny how people look at you like you're an asshat when they pull in front of you with 3 feet to spare and then break hard while you're towing a 12k pound 5th wheel... I also love it when someone speeds up like an idiot just to pass you and gets stopped at the same light you get stopped at... sometimes I just want to get out and walk up and ask what all that was about but when you read stories like this.

 

Maybe I just live in a more peaceful town, but I don't see much road rage here.

I think everyone's too busy texting or playing video games to be paying attention to the road.

 

I don't understand why people get so angry about driving.

I also don't see how anyone could shoot someone. Seems they do that for fun so I guess in this situation its not all that surprising.

 

Good chance this wasn't road rage, and was an assassination attempt.

I love it when a trucker passes another trucker going .5 miles per hour faster....thus slowing down the 30 cars traveling behind him for 2 miles until he completes the pass. I love that.

 

It is totally worth it to get in front of a truck and trailer at a light.

Getting behind a truck and catching a light is the kind of thing that adds 50% to my commute.

 

I run everyday and at least 30% of drivers are looking at their phones when they pass me. I watch drivers when I am running down busy streets.

BTW Smith's wife was also shot (not life-threatening) and the killer is claiming self defense. Will be interesting to get the whole story.
