Niners shopping Anthony Davis

    So the 9ers are shopping right tackle Anthony Davis. Though its unclear what kind of shape he'll be in after a year of retirement, before he left Davis was becoming one of the top right tackles in the league. He's only 26 and could likely be had for a mid to late round pick or included as a small piece of a #1 to #7 trade back. Think he'd be worth it? Obviously barring a physical of course.

    This has possible implications for a trade up to the first overall pick. Maybe the 49ers could trade their first 3 picks plus Davis. Id take that deal in a heart beat depending on Davis' level of readiness for nexr season.

    I dont think you have to include him in a 1 for 7 trade i think you maybe able to get him for a late round pick.... after seeing what Clady went for no way i can give up more than a 5th for him ....plus you dont know his motivation and injury status
    but itll be closer to Ramsey pick which we really need ...

    I'd send them our 4th for Davis...He is much younger then Clady and has a cheap contract for 3 more years. Then I'd stick at 1 and take Ramsey unless someone just offers us the moon to move out.

    Trade a low-round pick for him for sure if he passes the physical. No need to include him in a trade up for #1. If we seal the RT spot we'd want to keep the #1 to take Ramsey.

    A long as you talk to him and no that he is motivated to play and has shown that by keeping in shape then it is a no brainer to trade for him. He is the mauling sort of power run blocker that will fit our scheme.

    Then you go into the draft with no major holes.

    I think it might take ore than a 5th rounder for this guy. He was one of the best RT's in the game by 24 years old when he walked away.

    I wouldn't mind a 4th, if DGB can come back I think Davis could too. And both have the potential of being the top players at their positions.

    Knee issues can linger and a concussion can be a scary thing. Cant really blame the guy for taking time off after seeing all his teammates do it during a culture shift in San Fran. It was ugly there last year.
