    What constitutes a bust? Less than years of solid play? 5 years? We did get some good games from him, he won ROTY. Not saying that's enough just curious what makes a draft pick a bust.

    VY was definitely a bust, by his second year...which was his first full season he only threw 9tds to 17ints. Heck Mariota had 9 TDs by about his third or fourth game.

    If he had been on any other team he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did as evident by how quickly other teams realized he was dud and sent him packing.

    We could have had the father of interceptions -- Jay Cutler.

    As scratchy as some performances that VY had, I am grateful everyday that we did not select Cutler.


    Remember, VY led us to an 8-8 record (we were 1-5 before the bye) in 2006 ... And were in control to claim the final wildcard spot if we got by NE last game of the year (L 23-40)

    I agree about Cutler. He's the ultimate purgatory QB. Not bad enough to cut. Not good enough to win.

    If VY wasn't a bust he would still be playing somewhere. I agree about Cutler though. None of the top three qbs that year were good enough to be franchise players. Cutler is the best of the three, but that isn't saying much. VY didn't have enough between his ears to make it in the NFL. When you listen to him talk, it's obvious he didn't earn his passing grades in school.
