Ramsey being from Nashville means nothing for him being my choice at 1.
I think he adds just as much value as Tunsil. I'm getting tired of teams running and throwing all over us. Ramsey can be move around and I think LeBeau will get very creative with him. Ramsey at 1 and RT at 33, that along with Ben Jones is an improvement, he will help Lewan at LT.

I agree, I don't care where the guy grew up. I want him because he fills a glaring need, a true #1 CB. Moves everyone down the depth chart and drastically improves the secondary. Then RT in the second.

That said, thinking the RGIII signing has anything to do with who the Titans pick is stupid.

I don't disagree with anything you just said...

I've said over and over that Ramsey is my favorite player in the draft... Doesn't mean I think we will take him.

As a Titans fan, you have to know how to temper expectations. I want us to take Ramsey, but nobody knows what's going to happen. And NOTHING that has happened so far would suggest we are taking Ramsey... That's what I'm getting at. People are pretending like Ramsey is a done deal, and I find that to be very odd.

As for the hometown thing, I'm dead serious... Never said it's the ONLY reason why people want him, but I've heard many calls into local radio saying "well I'd love for us to get Jalen because he's from here blah blah" and stuff along those lines.

And I clearly noted I didn't even know he was from here until after I had said he was my favorite player in the draft.

Feel free to provide a rebuttal. But be ready to be wrong.

You're right none of us know who the pick will be. There are arguments for Tunsil and Ramsey. I'm thinking we have a LT, we don't have a true difference maker on D, Ramsey will be that.
I could see Cleveland trading with Philly, with Philly taking a QB at 2.

I have been making arguments for both Ramsey and Tunsil... And that's the way fans should be thinking because if we stay put at #1, those seem to be the two choices. Have to be ready for whatever.

I've just seen way too much talk about Ramsey definitely being the pick... And the reasoning just isn't there. Yes, there are absolutely arguments for doing it, and I'd prefer we take him.

But have you seen some of the reasoning people here are using? It doesn't add up.

It's the same thing with Tunsil people... "We signed McCain and Blake, therefore we are taking Tunsil."... Dumb logic.

Get your sour grapes out of here bro. I agree with you that Ramsey is the best prospect in this draft. I also agree some posters her pick out the smallest, insignificant move and say it's a lock to pick Ramsey. Granted, I can tell some our obviously sarcasm, but others are pretty dead serious.

What you need to prepare yourself for is JR bringing a new mentality to this organization. You've already seen that begin with the trade for Murray. My negative rating, of the post I've quoted, is the fact you've stated that there are way more arguments for picking Tunsil. I call BS. Our Oline has sucked for a while - but that's only one argument and doesn't make Tunsil the right choice.

I'll gladly direct you to a post where I feel I've already touched on this subject - and I'm almost positive that post was one I began by quoting a post of yours.

I am convinced we are taking Ramsey with the #1, but I am also prepared for us not to. I am aware of what being a Titans fan has done to our expectations, but times are changing. I'm also prepared to put a friendly wager on the line: you obviously think Tunsil is the pick and I've already stated Ramsey is. Pick the wager bro - balls in your court.

Can't argue with most of this, but the OL sucking for a long time is certainly not the only argument for Tunsil.

That's part of a much larger issue... Protecting the franchise QB who was not able to survive 16 games due to our crap OL last year. That hurt his development, cost us many wins, and cost him ROTY. If the same thing happens this year, we will be that much closer to wasting a franchise QB. Yes, we added Jones and that will help, but it's not enough yet.

Also, pretty much every team would agree that building up front on both sides of the ball is the most important aspect of creating a successful team. It all starts in the trenches. Build the OL up and every single player on offense is better - Mariota, Murray, and all receivers. On the flip side, build the DL up and an average secondary becomes elite. We've witnessed this before.

If you're looking at it from a pure value standpoint, going Tunsil and Bell at #1 and #33 is a better value than going Ramsey and whoever the top OL remaining is at #33. That's just an example... There are obviously other options at #33. If one of the top corners like Apple or Alexander fall, I'd prefer them.

Yes he does. Lewan struggled at LT last season and we gave up the most sacks in the NFL. OL (specifically OT) is probably the number one need right now.
