One thing Brave didn't mention about the article, but Goit made it a big point, was that Mariota's Deviation was something like the highest in the league. Basically, when he was on he was as good as anyone. Mariota was expected to be inconsistent and behind Winston as Winston was "pro-ready" but going back Goit's metric, Mariota showed to have the higher ceiling.

Time will tell. I wouldn't trade Mariota for any QB in the league right now.

Some of those sacks were on him.

SOME, and that goes for all young players. But, the majority were on the line breaking and/or players not getting open.

This isnt college. Wr's aren't gonna get anywhere close to as open as he was used to at oregon. That was his problem he was not willing to try and make tough throws because he was too worried about not throwing an int. Until the game was on the line of course and then he would throw a game sealing pick to lose the game. Sometimes a risky pass is better than a sack. If he is going to have success in the nfl he is going to have to use his legs more because he lacks the arm strength.

Given the circumstances, you can't be down on the guy. He learned a pro style offense, had zero help, had a coaching change, got straight up abused behind our line. The kid finished the year with a slew of rookie records.

    This is an impressive list..

Does he need to fix a few things? Yeah, but if you're anything less than ecstatic about the pick and the direction he's taking us, you're name must be Iceburg or you're smoking some crazy stuff!

Would you rather have Mett starting for the titans instead?
Be happy with what you have.

Mett couldn't of done worse than first overall pick. Literally

Instead, it would've been an undisputed 1st pick.
