Yea, it's gonna be in the 3 year/$18-21mil range, I'd guess.

Anything less would be very impressive, considering we even gave the old washed up bum Douglas 3 years/$11mil.

Not a difference maker. This was just an impulse sign. Those are the kind we need to stay away from.

What difference maker at WR is or was available? Matthews at least gives us speed and better hands than what we have. I would have loved Jefferies but Bears locked him up.

Obviously TWW2 wanted us to sign Jeffery and give up our next two #1s to the Bears as compensation. You know, the way smart teams do things.

Talent is what this team was lacking. They have added a bunch. Will add more. This is a new philosophy. TWW doesn't get it and won't ever get it. No Mathews isn't a top 10 wr. But the team got better by signing him. That's what matters. Championships are won by having a lot of good players. The Titans took a few steps in that direction this week.

I like the signing. I think he can be at least a Nate Washington type guy for us. By that I mean multi-year player that is fairly consistent but with better QB play.

Absolute best case scenario is he becomes our long time #2 on the other side of DGB and has a few big time games a year because DGB gets double teamed! Everyone has a dream right?

Seems like another impressive move on Robinson's part. Just a little background on him...he was Kaepernick's top target at Nevada when they had a big year. Beat Boise State (who was undefeated at the time and ranked in the Top 10 at the time) in a clutch performance.

Everyone has been down on Hunter since he was drafted, but none of the WR's have done much in that same time span, except Wright his first two seasons. Methinks Shawn Jefferson might not have been much of a WR coach...cause the whole unit has underperformed. Granted, there were other factors such as QB injuries to Locker, no real backup...and poor OL play, etc.

Perhaps a revamped OL can help give the WR group more time to get open and thus be more productive, so they don't all look like busts. One can hope.

Good signing. I like the upside/potential of this group now. Dgb, mathews, wright, hunter, douglas and mcbride.

I'm not thrilled with it but not mad either. Could be an upgrade over most of the current group and without a huge contract. (I'm assuming)
