What is an acceptable 2016-2017 Season

I want to see some guys take the next step as well. Mariota, Kendall, DGB, Williamson, Daquan, Lewan, and Chance are some young guys I want to see ascending. Also would like to see Orakpo, McCourty, Searcy, and Morgan really improve. Our only stars are Walker and Casey. We need a couple more guys to reach the star level.

 

Can't really pick a number.

Right now, 8-8 may sound good, but if the team starts 7-2, then limps home to 8-8, no one is going to be happy.

 

Probably unrealistic, but I am saying playoffs. Until this team starts expecting to win, they aren't going to win. Anything else is unacceptable.

 

6-10. That's a 100% improvement in wins from last year. Anything else is gravy.

 

I expect 8-8, no reason we shouldn't be able to achieve that. Robinson seems to be able to acquire skill, is intelligent, has great draft picks and cap space to use. There's no reason he can't fix the OL and secondary. Once those issues are remedied, every other unit will improve. Anything less is unacceptable.

As for the whole weak division thing, that may change pretty quick. If the Colts have a good off-season, and a healthy Luck, they'll have a good year. Jags are only going to improve, they have lots of young talent. Texans have a solid defense and WR. If any of our division rivals put together good off-seasons, it will only make things harder. And to those who ignore this, are lying to themselves about our rivals.

 

8-8 is really reaching, we haven't won 2 games back to back in nearly 3 years!

It's not like 6-10 is a victory in any sort of way. Be a winner, or who cares.

 

I would accept the team not being mathematically eliminated by Thanksgiving. Seriously, can't stand looking forward to each off season at the midway point each year.....
